Boiling Springs @ Gaffney (Homecoming 2023)

Had a very good but sloppy win last night against old rival Spartanburg and now it’s time to forget about that game and start working and getting ready to take the puppies to the pound. Boiling Springs is coming off a double overtime loss 38-31 to those pesky Rebels last night. But the question remains was Byrnes overlooking the Bulldogs or is the Bulldogs really that good. Gaffney has to clean up the penalties and when in the red zone take the points. In the red zone 3 times last night and came away with 0 that can’t happen anymore going forward. I just hate the distraction of this week it always causes problems plus it being Friday the 13th too so there is that bad mojo too. I still say Gaffney wins comfortably at the friendly confines of the reservation and goes to 2-0 in the region

I listened to the Byrnes/BS game last night. It sounds like BS is legit. They gave us a run. The QB for BS is fast and squirmy.

Boiling Springs could very easily be 7-1 right now with a couple of good breaks. I'm going to tell you, what I saw on that field last night was a team that you better be ready to play or it will be a long night. That QB was the best QB that I've seen all season including our QB. Confident, strong, plays smart, and as Colby said, SHIFTY, I would have said Barry Sander's like.... not incredible speed, but cuts and changes directions almost as he is moving. I don't know if he is a Senior or not, but if he is not, I'd rent him a house in Duncan!

Now, that game is like Gaffney -vs- Spartanburg in that there is no love lost between the two teams and our games are always tough and very hard fought regardless of the records.... so maybe they just played extra hard because it was Byrnes, but the Injuns better not treat them like a typical HOMECOMING opponent!

74 I agree that’s why I am worried about the festivities and plus did I mention it’s Friday the 13th which is probably worse because Gaffney usually doesn’t do to well but I think we will be ok if we come out focused and ready to play.

As you can see in the video, our QB missed quite a few open receivers and we could have scored a few more times with just a little better accuracy on those throws. But the Bulldogs played tough from the first series to the final play.

I've passed mine and now your thoughts on Huskey to his Dad.
Gaffney Defense better not sleep walk into this game or they'll get dawg bit 😏
