I agree with you Slicker!!!! I would love for the SCHSL to make an 11-game regular season and an 8:00 PM Start for the games. I have never liked the 7:30 Starting Times.

Drop the Playoffs back to just 16 teams and an 11 game season is a given. 8:00 Kickoffs on Friday, but keep 7:30 on Thursday nights because Friday is a school day.

Another thing wrong is only 4 region games. I like bigger regions like the old days. It’s virtually impossible to make work geographically when you only have 36 5A teams. They totally ruined 4A football with this 5A nonsense.

Are the times Mandatory at 730?? I remember Gaffney played home games at 8 when other ppl played at 730 cause you could always list to WAGI from virtually anywhere in the state on your ride home.
I always figured it was a county thing.
Or school district.
I want 12 weeks to schedule 11 games.
The kids deserve a bye. ..and that bye cannot be used the last week of the season, that's ridiculous.

True..where did they come up with this or who?Years ago nobody had a bye week at the end of the season..That’s ridiculous…

Amen! 11 game season and 16 teams in the playoffs from each classification. As I get older, 7:30 is not such a bad thing for a start time....lol. Do I hear 7pm...or 6:30pm? ...let's just go ahead and say 3:30pm and call it day...lol. I am solar powered. I'm out by 8:30 anyway...ha.

Yes! I liked the 8 PM starts and for the love of everything holy take only 3 teams to playoffs. My son's GF tells me last night "we've won at least one region game so we're going to the playoffs." Nothing worse than the money spent to send a couple of busses on a road trip to get their heads caved in then the coach can add that as another playoff appearance to his resume. As for the BYE, idk how to make it work but it shouldn't be at the beginning or the end. It's my understanding if you agree to play week zero you get to pick when you have your BYE. You have teams like Pendleton who gets a BYE after their 2nd game. That's tough.
