Both teams come in 8-1. 96 has had a nice turn around this year. Looking at the 96 schedule, other than Saluda who they lost to, the schedule is not daunting at all. All credit to them for winning these games, but, they have struggled with teams that we just thrashed. IMO, this will not be a close game, but, we will see what happens.

Show down in A-Town for the region crown.
Yor are right top cat the Panthers are just to
strong for my Wildcats.I doubt 96 will score.
they may manage 3 or 4 first downs . I said
before practice started that 96 would have a
good chance to be 2nd in the region . what i
didn't expect was only 20 kids came out and
16 for JV. So my hats off to the kids and coaches
I truly believe if 96 had their starting QB against Saluda
the Wildcats would be 9-0
96 had 2 lineman get hurt against Chesnee . They
were on crutches yesterday at practice . Not that
they would make a difference against Abbeville but
it will in the first game of the play-offs.I am an Abbeville fan
but man i would love to see my Wildcats make a game
out of it but i just can't see it happening. I just hope we
don't get more hurt this week .
GO GET'EM WILDCATS!

The Wildcats have won more than i expected. No chance this week against the Panthers . 96 has 2 players that maybe would get playing time if they played for Abbeville .The rest would be 3rd string .I think 96 will have another winning season next year. After then it will depend on if Bennet can get more kids in the program if he stays at 96.I know the Wildcats believe they can win this week . Good luck 96.

Someone told me that Abbeville has not lost a region game since 2014.they will lose one some day but not this week.it is exiting that the region title is between 2 area teams that have played each other for many years. You all should have a big crowd for this game.i would be there but Clinton is coming to emerald.

The 96 QB is good but he won’t have time to throw the ball and if he just throws it up for grabs Abbeville will pick it off.it is exiting that the region title is between 2 area teams that have played each other for many years. Abbeville is BIG, FAST and STRONG. I already knew they were, but seeing it up close it was mind blowing. 96 and Abbeville are 2 very good teams and will make deep runs in the playoffs. I see Abbeville winning this game by at least 2 scores.

Not only is A- Town big, fast and strong
but they have a young team .Looks like
Keenan will come to 96 in the first
round. If 96 can win and i mean IF.
they will probably paly at Strom Thurmond
next. Abbeville will go through their
Bracket like crap through a goose.

then 4th quarter fell apart .Big crowd
on both sides . Congrats to the Panthers.

It was a good effort by 96. Their game plan was clearly to shorten game, run clock, they trudged it pretty good between the 20s but always were thwarted after that. Atown had only 3 possessions the entire first half, so obviously game plan was working. It was not a win the game plan but it certainly kept score down for a while. I think we aided in the 96 cause somewhat by seemingly refusing to pop a few downfield passes, we have been doing that well but for some unknown reason, on this night, with 96 obviously crowding the box, we just refused to attempt, especially last drive before half. Over 2 minutes and 3 TOs and we just wasted that drive. 96 going for it twice on 4th down in their own territory early on was not smart. On the other hand, twice on 4th and one, we punted, which was ultra conservative IMO. In the end, the sheer talent and speed of Abbeville took over, 96 wore down, and it was all Panthers. 96 has some really good players, they just need more numbers. This Abbeville team has great potential, blistering speed, wish we would stretch the field more, utilizing that speed to it's fullest, as we have at times. It's going to get interesting about the 3rd round.
