South Florence, Stratford ready for Round 2

FLORENCE, S.C. — South Florence opened some eyes and got respect by defeating Stratford three weeks ago. But a second victory over the Knights would mean a lot more. If South Florence defeats Stratford on Friday at Memorial Stadium, it will advance to the Class 4A Division II semifinal for the first time in school history.

“They are very good on defense and we had a hard time with them last time,” Stratford coach Ray Stackley said. “They are a physical bunch on defense and the most sound football team in all three phases we have faced all season.
