COLUMBIA, S.C. — Timmonsville and Hunter-Kinard-Tyler have plenty of strengths but kicking is not one of them.
“ I think we might have left our big kicking tee at C.E. Murray or somewhere earlier this season,” Timmonsville coach Bill Tate said. “We tried to kick a field goal one game and it didn’t work so that is when I decided we would be going for two.”
“ I got tired of my offensive linemen getting hit in the butt with the ball,” HKT coach Dann Holland said. “So, I just said we are going for two each time. We don’t have a smell of a kicker at our school. During the open date, we had tryouts and after two days I was like, ‘I am not looking at this anymore.’”
