Trouble in Dillon

News out of Dillon is that their QB is transferring. He posted on twitter? Maybe going back to NC where he lives and is eligible. Maybe the "offers" left with Thompson. Big trouble for a traditional power when your QB transfers out a month before the season. Not a good culture sign when that is your team leader either. But high schoolers love the "portal" and being all about themselves now. Will be interesting to see where he is "eligible" to play if it is a public school. Loris or Marlboro win that region this year and trouble in Dillon putting all their eggs into that basket with zero loyalty. Lots of excitement in Marlboro County right now as Dillon's offense just became even more one dimensional although the QBs play didn't help change that the last 2 years anyways.

We will see. They sure pumped him up like he was a team leader and the best player on Dillon. Especially for a kid who didn’t even live in the town. Kids know and that’s how you destroy culture. I think ole Roller got played by a family more interested in NIL and the next best thing getting recruited based on JV SCISA film against 6th graders than playing actual tackle football. When the offers fell apart this summer, he changed his tune on execution over stats. We will find out now if the staff can coach, but don’t see Dillon having any passing game at all with this late of a transfer which is a scum bag move by the family. If the kid goes to another public school in SC it requires a complete move by the entire family into the district for eligibility. I’d be shocked if S Florence is willing to risk forfeiting every game he plays in for that level of talent. Renting an apartment in town doesn’t cut it and when you’re already the big dog with a whole new region I’m sure those in the know of where a kid lives will let it be known. Interesting situation though because the other thing I heard from some Dillon folks in the know is that Dillon has a seventh or eighth grader who was gonna win that job in the next year and so the old guy was running from that competition. A lot easier when you just play where you live. Joining some super team doesn’t prove a lot to most coaches. Good luck to Dillon in 3A though, we don’t have to worry about them now.

Roller definitely got played, good for him bc the kid should have never been starting over here and that's a fact. Everything you said was dam near factual and his dad saw the writing on Wall. Tbh he wasnt really with us this whole summer, he was out camping and roller went along with it and got played. Now look

The more I hear from Dillon peeps who know…maybe even coached there, the more it sounds like Dillon is happy to be rid of this problem. First lying to the school about eligibility based on where you live jeopardizes the whole season for your teammates. Second, anyone willing to take all the summer snaps knowing they are planning to leave your team high and dry at the last minute for what they think will benefit them personally in recruiting wasn’t creating a good culture. The focus was always on private coaching, NIL generation, camps and stats and shorts and t shirt stuff instead of winning as a team. And the in game pass and production was never there to begin with. Last they got a guy in the wings but young and Daddy was less than happy about any competition. This is from Dillon peeps in the know. Hope SF realizes the risk they are taking. Teams forfeit all games in which an ineligible player plays. Ads and coaches are responsible for ensuring players are eligible. Good luck to SF. Unlikely anyone in their new region will raise this to the SCHSL. May be some angry folk in Dillon who lost a “DI” QB mid summer who know some addresses. Just sayin. Pernell Sweat or Lumberton probably could use a QB zoned for attendance in their district. Good year to be a Knight. There is a “ME” in team.

Lol you have been hearing correct. I can promise you,the only person who is hurt is probably roller. But it's all good, the Qb who should have been starting the last two years will be starting. Good luck in 4a brother, I thought yall was going to win it all last year in 3a.

I never saw so much hate for young man who has been putting in that work... basically took us to state as freshman, if those refs didn't call that bs, we beat Beaufort and would have been state champs...
Last year, he didn't have any receivers to throw it to.. those jokers were dropping passes left and right..
Camden basically had our playbook which is a bout four plays..
I can say officially he lived Dillon, in fact hamer area,
I'm very ashamed of Alot Dillon fake fans and the way they talked junk about that young man
I do that kid after the game with Camden and told him to transfer bc no matter what he does he is going to be hated and take his talent to beach..

Btw this anit Dillon football no more.. to many new coaches and roller got 2 years left to get it done or the G.O.A.T is coming back...

From what I hear out of Dillon you are completely wrong on this take. I also doubt some weird old guys comment to him after another playoff loss at home influenced his decision to skip out on a team at the last minute for whatever personal gain he thinks he is gonna get in recruiting. Seems more likely no offers got renewed this summer at camps and panic set in to do whatever necessary to put up better stats. Selfish and egotistical, especially without production, doesn’t play well in towns like Dillon. Every time I talk to my guys from Dillon they laugh about the daddy ball thing that was going on there. Daddy driving from home in Lumberton to be at every practice and the like. Sounds like maybe you’re a relative from NC or something. Regardless, I’d say about the only thing I am hearing you have right is the last paragraph.

It's not hate when it's the truth. Yes the kid did put in work. He is just not good enough and that's a fact. It's ok I wish him well where he goes. I'm jus glad it's not in dillon. I'm not going to say everything on here. But if you from dillon, you know the truth behind the scenes
