Daniel checks the first box of the 4 team goals after their win over Chapman and now they set their sights on an unusual neutral site matchup on Thursday against Stratford

The team had a solid game against Chapman. 2 way players Spencer Conn and Tremaine Davis shined on either side and Sophomore QB Grayson Clary got the majority of the snaps at QB and did a good job. Defense looked like it’ll be stout this year and so I’m confident we’ll keep the ball rolling this week.

Stratford only has 2 quarters under their belt after the unfortunate situation last week that got their game canceled at halftime and giving them an opening week loss. Don’t know much about Stratford, I saw they have a decent QB, but I am lost on all other fronts so I’m asking for insight from some of the low country posters who might know a thing or two about what my Lions should expect to see Thursday.

Is this game being played at Airport because of what happened at Stratford last week? Or has it been planned that way?

Based on what I've heard I'm sticking with predictions from last week 49-14

Stratford's senior RB #10 Squire was heavily involved in their offensive game plan against Summerville. He is a very fast and shifty runner who can make a defense look slow. Offensively Summerville was able to move the ball on the ground against Stratford and had several passing TDs by our senior QB Cummings.

Watched some of the game. I like Daniels chances.

Lions get the win 52-36 tonight over Stratford. Not a very good night by our defense, definitely need to clean it up on that side or next week it will be ugly. Offense did their part our new QB Clary has been as advertised since middle school. Hopefully the defense can tighten up because it doesn’t get any easier next Friday against the all stars.

Totally agree. Slow start, boys pushed through. One of those nights we score 50 and it feels like 3 points. Defense giving up over 500 total yards is not a good sign going into JL Mann.

So many things in this game that stood out. Most of all Daniel won the special teams big time over Stratford.
Field position on kickoffs was huge. The extra point they missed proved big as they had to start chasing points.
The huge kickoff turn when they got back to within one was a back breaker play for them.

Dede was ugly in the first 21/2 quarters but figured it out late and made plays.
Still too many penalties
Cost is a potential scoring drive late in the second and had a big Td called back. Still too many dropped balls .
First possession should’ve been an easy score. Had to settle for 3.

One last point . Stratford was deep and big . I counted 65 players. They played hard and gave great effort .
That being said I would be pissed if I was a fan of theirs and what their coach did with 4 minutes and change left.
Down 9 on 4th and 10 he decided to punt. We hit a big run play for 7. On the next possession with 2 and change left he punted again on 4th down. That’s called quitting. At that’s point you only had one chance and he told his kids ti basically stop competing. Sends a bad message IMO.
