Dutch Fork vs Spartanburg

Post by DFOLDMAN »

After the past couple seasons you never know what to expect. Injuries can turn a season upside down. Not making any predictions, just want to hear everyone's thoughts. I would rather play a Knotts team early, rather than later when he has had time to get the right players in the right spot and work out any issues. Have to wait and see what happens. August is one thing, November...that's Knotts' time. Just hope they have a good game and both teams can come out of it relatively unscathed and healthy.

Have not seem Dutch Fork this preseason or summer, but I know better than to pick against the fighting TK's 😂

I think the game will be won in the trenches, how will the Viking o-line hold up? will they be able to run the ball this week? from what I watched against South Pointe they definitely struggled at times, and the Dutch Fork d-line is really good.

I think this should be a really good game.

Spartanburg has a lot of players out and the running back isn’t a 💯percent more like 60 percent and the starting quarterback will be out for a while so they are just playing what they got for now.

Man I hate to hear that, especially being so early in the season. Hope the Vikings can get healthy.

I don't know if out left tackle will be back this week. I'm hoping Rice can play to.
SP Dline are all D-1 players, I doubt Dutch Fork is going to show up with less.

Burke is capable of being a winning QB in this game, but it took our Oline toooo long to get a moderate handle on SP.

If Spartanburg can keep it close early maybe even trade some scores? Trade some punts? Just to settle in, then maybe we get a chance at late

I do love playing this game.
I think Knott's and Hodge have a good thing going.

Burke looked night and day different from last season, I thought he played a really good game for as little time as he had. It looked like Choice made a huge impact for the Vikings last week, once Rice is healthy, the WR group will be a nightmare for defenses.

If I wasn't going to a game to support a friend that coaches Friday night, I'd probably be making the ride to this game.

I'll apologize in advance if the Silver Foxes stink up the field like they did the first half of last season. Hopefully, that won't happen...but hey, they are teenage boys....raised 3 ....they are "unpredictable" at best...haha. TK will get them straight by October.

I don't think DF has any "super stars" on this team...no Jalin Hyatt or Antonio Williams...but what they do have is decent depth and can keep fresh, relatively even talent, rotated in and out....one thing Knotts rarely if ever does is play anyone both ways. I think that becomes a factor in the second half and with some depth it is even a bigger factor. Just have to wait and see. I have not seen enough on this year's team to really know much...seems like it's been by design by Coach Knotts. Have seen lineups that I would not have thought would be "the first squad" either on offense or defense. Can't decide if this is by design or if he is simply seeing different lineups and how things gel...maybe a bit of both. I've quit trying to second guess TK.

It should be a heck of a ball game, DFOLD do you think we will see any of TK's son in at QB? from all accounts the kid can absolutely sling it!
