Daniel vs Clinton

After a BYE week the Lions are back at home to take on Clinton. Daniel and Clinton have had some memorable games in the playoffs, the most recent matchup was in 2021 when Daniel destroyed the Red Devils 52-7.

Both teams enter this week with 3-1 records Daniel’s loss to Mann and Clinton’s to Woodruff. They have a common opponent in Chapman who they both beat by 3 scores.

This one should be a pretty good game, hopefully we clean up mistakes from our last game and get a new win streak going but if Clinton can get rolling on the ground early it could be a high scoring game.

Daniel wins. We are very balanced offensively and average about 220 passing yards and 240 rushing a game and they struggled with it. Clinton is still very prolific running the ball but the QB can throw it and is an exceptional athlete. Watch out for #9 Swindler. He is their primary receiver and very good. I do think Daniel has too much firepower and will pull away.

Losing to Woodruff and losing to the Greenville County All-Stars is two different things. Daniel wins and I doubt it will be close. With classification changes, I'm just sad come playoff time Daniel won't have the potential opportunity of rolling Woodruff up into a tiny ball like a freshly picked booger and flicking them across the field....bummer.

Far better fans than you have. Ya'll weren't even half capacity for a late round playoff game. Our fans are among the best and most passionate in the state. Dutch Fork fans aren't on that level. Pack out a playoff game then come talk to us.

Guess we're kinda jaded....hasn't been 4 decades since we've won anything...
Obviously, our cheering is a much higher quality than the Wolverines'...
Quality not quantity.

Come Friday night, the Woodruff faithful get the Pinto down off cinder blocks and the transmission out of the bathtub...fire it up...put on their new overalls and best trucker cap and head out to the ball game..."fun"
