Loris Hype

Loris is tied 7-7 with Socastee in the 2nd quarter…there is about to be a homicide when Dillon goes to Loris next week. Poor Loris players. Every year their fans hype them up and then a few games in the truth of who they always are comes to light. They may want to forfeit their games with Marlboro and Dillon this year. It’s gonna be very ugly.
Maybe Marlboro and Dillon can send the JV or the middle school. How long are they gonna keep that coach in Loris doing the least in the state with the most? Seven to seven…against Socastee, hahahahaha. When is Loris actually going to turn all that talent into a half decent football team?

Hate to be the one to say I told ya so…especially to them movin the chains guys who always seem to fall so hard for Loris. But I do like those guys. Loris ain’t a good football program. They have all the ingredients with athletes, support, etc., but they are extremely soft players, soft coaches, and they crumble when they hit a two inch speed bump. It’s like it’s something in the water around there. No dawgs allowed in that area. Might could be that they’re too close to all that old money by the beach. Makes people soft and weak. Next week will be a running clock in the second half against Dillon. Teams like Loris lose to Dillon and Marlboro before they ever step on the field. It’s mental and they know they dont have the confidence because they haven’t put the work in when no one is watching and they don’t have that dawg in em. Like I said to the Loris fan 2 weeks ago, Loris will lose to Aynor in that region as well. And Aynor ain’t a very good team this year athletically, but at least they are disciplined and well coached. They’re should be a memorial hype award named after Lloyd is that gets awarded to the team with the most buzz and least ability to back it up. That coach needs to go and bring in someone with higher expectations and a better work ethic to get the most out of the potential there at Loris.

Does Dillon have a chance?
Socastee is not a bad team, their record may not indicate it but they have been competitive.
Socastee’s starting quarterback entered Wednesday night’s game against undefeated Loris with the knowledge of just how good this year’s version of the Lions team had been.
“Beating a team like this, and going into it knowing that people were projecting us to lose, it made me want to win more,” Royals said after the victory. “I wanted to win more. I wanted us to win more. We all got hyped and everything just went well.”
“We knew what kind of team Loris was,” Hampton said. “They were 4-0 coming in for a reason. Our defense had a great game plan and they executed for the most part… We told our team that if we want to beat Loris, we were going to have to win all three phases of the game. I would say, for the most part, we did that. I couldn’t be more proud of these guys.”

Socastee is awful so yes Cats have more than a chance. Socastee lost to Wando who is also terrible. Ashley Ridge beat Wando like a drum and AR has a good record but they got stomped by a short staffed Oceanside team. So to make a long story short- Dillon will win … by 2 or 3 TDs at least.

Cats are going to hear this regardless of who they play because if you win you beat a bunch of Loris JV players and if you lose they’ll all be celebrating your demise and crowning Oceanside.
Any team that plays Dutch Fork has been baptized and dipped in the blood. As for Loris they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. They been chasing Dillon for years and believe they got a team this year to win.

Loris is about to get smoked this Friday. Can't believe them Movin the Chains guys are still hanging off Loris' chain with their predictions of a close game or Loris win. This one is gonna get out of hand. Loris has some athletes. They don't got it above the shoulders for the players and the coaches to beat Dillon or Marlboro any time soon. This is gonna be like watching a train wreck in slow motion as they implode with one mistake after the other. Anyone who thinks Socastee is a quality loss doesn't know ball at all. A good program could play their worse game ever and still manage to beat Socastee every time in the last few years. They are really really bad at football. The winner of the annual Memorial Loris HS Overhyped Award in 2024/25 will go to....Loris HS after they lose by 27+ to Dillon Friday night.

Dillon, Loris and MC should be fun games to watch. Not knocking Dillon but I think the lions win this one in a shootout. Loris can be extremely explosive on offense. Moon Gerald moves like Lamar Jackson. Good luck to both teams!!!’ I’ll be listening on the radio.
