I split time between ballentine and Caesars Head, up on the South Saluda River. Never seen it this bad. Catastrophic flooding and wind damage. The farm here is a wreck. Haven’t been able to get out and check the farm in Pickens or the farm at Twelve Mile near Clemson- too much to do here right now . It’s bad folks. No power (or water since it’s well water here) until probably mid week at the earliest. Generator keeping the fridge and freezer going. Western NC is even worse. Greenville, Greer, TR as well as Pickens and Oconee counties got whacked. Hey country boy here. Not a problem. I spent weeks and months with no running water or electricity running operations in Afghanistan and Iraq… no biggie for me but most folks are taking it hard.

Select the Southeast region, then a state, then a county.

With the impending east coast and gulf union strike at ports .considering the devastation. Our current administration needs to invoke the Taft act for a 80 day period .or the ila needs to continue talks for a while .
Until we can get those affected somewhat straight .

I still don’t have power here in Newberry. A good many people here got it back today, hopefully I will tomorrow.
Y’all stay safe and look after your neighbors. At the end of the day, we all in this together.

We are fortunate to have power (no internet), but most of my family still does not have power.
Glad to host them this time around. They came through for me when my home was without power for over a week from the ice storm several years ago.
I will try to get everything caught up on the website ASAP.
Hope everyone is safe.
