I think is it time for the SCHSL to address the issues

Post by Rebel-Fan-74 »

I know that a solution cannot be formulated until we find out when all the teams can start playing again; however, I do think it is time for them to step up and start talking about how the rest of the season will be played. I don't think we want two Region Games to be thrown out for some teams while others lose one and some teams may lose none.

At this time, this is current Region Standings as I can figure them out...
Regions 4, 6, 7 have not played any Region games, so they are not unbalanced if they all play this week. Region one is balanced now, but this weekend may change that. Region 2, 3 and 5 have unbalanced standings as of now.

Region One RW RL %
Hillcrest 1 0 100%
J L Mann 1 0 100%
Greenwood 1 0 100%
Greenville 1 0 100%

Boiling Springs 0 1 0%
Wade Hampton 0 1 0%

Region Three RW RL %

Rock Hill 2 0 100%
Catawba Ridge 1 1 50%
Clover 1 1 50%
Indian Land 0 1 0%

So this is what I would propose do so that you don't add 2 weeks to the season and push everything back and get close to Christmas for the state title games and get into that possibility of bad weather impacting the state title games IE snow ice or a combination of other things.

I would say play the region games that have been missed on Monday's yes it adds another game to the week and that will suck for game planning 2 games a week but you've already game planned for the weeks that have been missed so technically you aren't really planning but for 1 game instead of 2. If that doesn't work then I say do this

Region One RW RL %
Hillcrest 1 0 100%
J L Mann 1 0 100%
Greenwood 1 0 100%
Greenville 1 0 100%
T L Hanna 0 1 0%
Woodmont 0 1 0%
Easley 0 1 0%
Mauldin 0 1 0%

Region Two RW RL %
Byrnes 2 0 100%
Gaffney 1 0 100%
Spartanburg 1 0 100%
Dorman 1 1 50%
Riverside 0 1 0%
Eastside 0 1 0%
Boiling Springs 0 1 0%
Wade Hampton 0 1 0%

Region Three RW RL %
Northwestern 2 0 100%
Rock Hill 2 0 100%
Catawba Ridge 1 1 50%
Clover 1 1 50%
Indian Land 0 1 0%
Nation Ford 0 1 0%
Fort Mill 0 2 0% eliminated from contention cause they probably more than likely won't win but maybe 1 region game

Region Four RW RL %
Dutch Fork 0 0 #DIV/0!
Irmo 0 0 #DIV/0!
River Bluff 0 0 #DIV/0!
Chapin 0 0 #DIV/0!
Lexington 0 0 #DIV/0!
White Knoll 0 0 #DIV/0!

Region Five RW RL %
Sumter 2 0 100%
West Florence 1 0 100%
Ridge View 1 0 100%
Blythewood 1 1 50%
Westwood 1 1 50%
Lugoff-Elgin 0 2 0% eliminated from contention cause they probably more than likely won't win but maybe 1 region game
Spring Valley 0 2 0%eliminated from contention cause they probably more than likely won't win but maybe 1 region game

Add two weeks move the title games to the citadel and charleston southern. No worries about snow effecting title games . We rarely get snow ice or very cold weather.

Yea we could do that but I am looking at a solution for the fans that would keep them on track without having to plan family events around the state title games

SCACA has asked Jerome to postpone all activities for 2 weeks.

Jerome and his minions should have been all over this Monday morning. Last week was lost in upstate, and was evident this week would be to. But all Jerome says is that a meeting will be scheduled. The leadership SC has come to expect.
