Midland Valley schedule changes

Because of Helene, MV had to make some changes.
We postponed the Airport game this past Friday. Even if we had been able to practice normally, which we could not, we still did not have power at the stadium. They did not want the season playoff schedule to change so here is what we are doing.

We will play at Gilbert this Friday.
Next week we will play Aiken at home on Thursday the 17th.
Then the following Monday, the 21st, we will play Airport at home.
Then the 25th and Nov. 1st we play our regular away games to complete our schedule.

Getting in 3 games between the 17th and 25th will be trying, but at least we will finish all of our scheduled games.

I still don’t think folks around the state understand just how bad things got, and still are, around Sudlow Lake, Belvedere, Hammond Hills, Merriwether, and Clarks Hill. I was utterly stunned and stupefied driving back to the Upstate from Jasper Co on Sunday. Downtown NA up Martintown, Sportsman’s Corner to 28 on Woodlawn, it must be 80-90% tree canopy loss for 15 miles. Absolutely heartbreaking.

It’s amazing there weren’t more lives lost down there. So glad to see the Valley, NA, Creek, Thurmond, McCormick etc getting back to some sort of normalcy.

100% agree. i believe 25 people in the csra were killed during the storm, which is horrible, but considering the magnitude of damage i'm shocked that number was much higher.

With the shuffling of the games, MV was able to complete our schedule.
Have to wait until after Friday night's games to see how the playoffs may be for us. Probably all road games this year.

Cheating Gray just helped the entire region move up a spot in the standings!
