So I'm hearing from a couple of pretty reliable sources that at the end of the Union Broome game last Friday night that there was a fight between the 2 teams and that now the SCHSL is stepping in and suspending both teams for 2 weeks of play. I haven't heard anything about it or haven't seen anything on hear or anywhere about it but these sources were there at the game and have kids that go to union

I haven't seen anything about this either.

Yea I know and if there wouldve been suspensions or anything like that then there wouldve been an appeal or something you would think. Kind of crazy to think that could be the case

There were multiple suspensions from both sides but neither team will be shut down. Not fair to teams like us who still have to play them and we're already off a month. We have to be able to play the games. But yes, there were severe consequences so we hear and both teams will be down multiple players for a while.

I just watched the end of the game on Youtube and yes there was a fight at the end of the handshake line. Hard to see on the broadcast, but something broke out.

I understand completely legend I just know with the talk that was happening here at work that i knew there wouldve been a lot of meetings with the high school league if they wouldve shut the teams down for 2 weeks like they were saying and it wouldn't have been a make it up deal they wouldve had to forfeit both games is what i was hearing

Haven’t heard anything for sure regarding any penalties. Been quiet from both schools. Doesn’t matter. Broome has had an underwhelming season, probably beginning with the stud getting recruited away by MVP. Union? It is a dumpster fire for reasons not all on the field

I seen the fight and to be honest if they gave a consequence for the Gaffney QB for the lil push. Then these players are looking at a max of 2 games .. Surprise that teams are not banned from post season to be honest!
