BISHOP ENGLAND 31 BEAUFORT 14 FINAL 10/18/2024

Post by BEAUFORTEAGLESFAN »

Bishop England beat Beaufort 31-14 last night in a key Region 6 4A Game. This was a tough loss for Beaufort as they had a 14-0 lead and it was 14-14 at the half. Turnovers really hurt Beaufort again in this game and Bishop England controlled the 2nd half of this game. Beaufort drops to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in Region 6 4A.

Beaufort starting QB Samari Bonds was back but his 3 turnovers killed Beaufort in this game. Bond's had 2 fumbles and 1 interception in this game. He did have some nice throws and runs though. But these turnovers are really hurting Beaufort. Bond's needs to do a better job of holding on to the football. I do not like the way that he carries the football at all. He needs to hold on to the ball tighter and not hold it out like he does. I hope to see him have a great 2 games to finish out the regular season.

Beaufort's Defense had a bad game also. They gave up some long runs and passes that they should have defended better. I am still so upset on how My Eagles played in this game. This was a really important Region Game and both the offense and defense didn't play well at all. I still would have liked to see Beaufort run a 2-back set in this game against Bishop England. I think Beaufort could have run the ball a lot and had success against that Bishop England Defense.

This was a hard loss to take. But, I think that Beaufort LB-Athlete Will Codding had another great game for The Eagles. Beaufort WR-QB Caleb Stephan also had a nice game with a couple of highlight-reel catches. I hope to see both of those players play at the next level. They are really good. I would definitely give Will Codding the MVP Award for Beaufort so far this season. He has had a great year.

Beaufort has 2 HUGE REGION 6 4A GAMES left on their schedule. They are at May River next week and then finish out the season with a Home Game against Hilton Head. I really hope that Beaufort wins both of these and then make a nice run in the 4A Playoffs. Does anyone know if Beaufort has to win both of these games to make the playoffs? Thanks for any info!
