Early on I would have picked Mann but after the Hanna whupping …not sure. Greenwood beat Hanna but lost to a suspect Dorman team so I don’t know. This should be an exciting game. Have to wait and see what happens.

Any thoughts about this game?
Massey is 86% sure that J L Mann will win:
@ JL Mann # 11 (4-2) 86% Greenwood # 18 (6-1) 14%
Doodles is going with Greenwood:
Greenwood 255.3 J L Mann 250.90 2 point favorite
MaxPreps RPI favors J L Mann
J L Mann 0.66235 Mauldin 0.65809 0.00426
Two weeks ago, I'd have been 99% sure that J L Mann would be the pick.....
but now, I'm not so sure. Matter of fact, I think this is a season defining game for both teams. If they win the game, they are really close to wrapping up the Region Championship and a BYE in Week One of the Playoffs. A loss and they probably are playing in Week One and are looking at a road trip in Week Two if they survive. I don't think playing at J L Mann is a huge difference, but it may be the difference! I'll say: J L Mann by a very slim margin.

I think if Greenwood plays 4 quarters
with no turn overs and very few penalties
they can win the game .can't afford to
start out sloppy like they did the last game.

It's interesting that AAAAA Region 1 decided to play all their games. So they have to have 'short' weeks between games.
This is the real wild card in AAAAA for playoff seedings. This will produce a huge outlier for the playoffs. The team that finishes on top might not be the same in normal circumstances.
This is a HUGE benefit for TL Hanna.... they just do what they do and don't really need a lot of time to prep for how teams will play their offense b/c you can't throw them anything Tone hasn't seen. Defensively, their 33 stack is a lot like Byrnes's defense in their heyday.... just sic 'em.
The other thing will be the loss of routine for teams that like the flow of the Sunday-Friday (or whatever days) as their norm.
The coaching staff that think they have to 'out think/plan' the other team will probably suffer the most.
As with most HS FB junkies, this will be a season to reminisce on or one to moan about for decades.

Region 1 is going to be interesting with Hillcrest, Greenwood, Mann and Hanna... may have a tie at the top.

Final score:
Greenwood 14
JL Mann 31
Greenwood looked terrible offensively after the starting QB and defensive player went down for Mann. Mann stepped up and played really good ball the remaining of the game. Hats go off to Mann. The backup QB for Mann played a heck of a game including the Martin kid at running back.
Prayers go out to the injured Mann players from the Greenwood community. You never want to see anyone get hurt on the field.
