Finally got my internet back on. I think this game may be close in the first half but Wren probably has just to much talent for the Vikings to stay with for 4 quarters.

Wren has alot of injuries Right had 4 starters out last week and had one break hi fibula during the Game . Most won't be back until the playoffs . But seeing how Emarld played Fountain inn and Laurens it should never be close wren had back ups in in the 2nd quarter in both those games and won by 40+

I think it's a mental block that keeps holding Emerald back.

Emerald need to come out and show out this Friday. Emerald has been loaded with talent each year. They need to show the community that they can play at a high level like Greenwood High.

The few years they were in the region with Newberry, I sat there thinking how can a team with this much talent be this bad? Emerald fans said it was coaching, got a new coach and still not doing much. I think you're right with the mental side of it. They would get so many stupid personal foul and unsportsmanlike penalties in the games I saw. 1 game at Emerald, I saw 2 Emerald players get unsportsmanlike penalties for fighting each other on the field.

I still think it's coaching because the coaches should be able to correct those weaknesses and teach those guys to play with confidence to win football games. If your coaches are not vocal on the sidelines, they probably don't care, lost the will to win or dazed and confused.

Man, high school kids these days don't care about coaches telling them to do stuff. And coaches know if they push their best athletes hard enough, they'll just have to play against them at a different school the next year. Gone are the days when authoritarian coaches could rule kids with fear and punishment, kids aren't going for that.

I guarantee you.....if you get a coach like Brian Lane, Tom Knotts or Dan Jones to come and coach at Emerald High the team would be winning at least region to state titles within 2 to 3 years. Also, they would bring their own staff with them too.
