Am I following right that Gray is who tried to turn them in? If so, pretty bold move on the part of the cheaters.

Dodged a bullet there. Wonder if they will go back if the students family cannot or do not produce the proper documentation. The kid has to sit until they produce docs, but if they can’t Irmo admin should have never cleared him. Hope this isn’t a fast one being pulled.

Bullet dodged for now if they can't produce the documentation then i think things go bad for them but with this being a family issue surely the parents can find common ground and provide the documentation needed for the kids sake. Interesting through all of this is that 1 kid was enrolled at Gray and the kid in question is enrolled at Irmo so go figure Gray trying to deflect attention away from them

You would think the school would have made
sure everything was legal before
they ever let him on the field.

Following Lou and halfway listening to the appeal yesterday it sounded like they did everything like they were supposed to sounded like Gray didn't give them the paperwork and things they needed from them plus the parents submitted the right documents just had some documentation and things that weren't stamped or done properly and the schsl wouldn't or couldn't accept the paperwork as it was submitted

Whole thing is interesting. The connection to Gray and all their issues as well as proper documents being signed stamped sealed appropriately which to me indicates proper legal filings of separation documents.

Based on Lou’s tweets the league didn’t leave room to come back to the school if the docs are located and submitted. From what I can tell, the kid is not eligible until the docs are provided.

The kind of stamp or seal needed cannot and would not be back dated by a court. I wouldn’t think.

On a non-football note, I hate for any kid to go through the separation snd divorce of their parents. For that reason I hope this is an illegitimate case. I would like the HSL to stop talking like they “punish” kids by upholding the rules. The adults that don’t follow the rules are the ones creating these scenarios. It’s the schools, administrators, coaches and/or parents who work the system. Should the kids family be unable to provide the properly stamped documents that make the separation legal the league should reinstate the judgement that was appealed yesterday. Irma’s responsibility is “thinking they had the right docs” not making sure they had the right docs.
