*These Brackets are not OFFICIAL, the SCHSL will announce the OFFICIAL Brackets later today.....

With this new format, this is just a best guess....
I do not know the official tiebreaker for 4A-5. Darlington, Lower Richland, and Crestwood tied for 3rd place.
I "think" Darlington(3rd in region) will win that tiebreaker. (Point differential among tied teams or points against among tied teams)
Lower Richland(4th in region) beat Crestwood (5th in region) head-to-head.
If this is wrong it will change some seeding.
If the tiebreaker is based on all region games it will have a different outcome. :?:

Bracket has been fixed to match the SCHSL match-ups.

I had something wrong in the automatic bids from 10-14 seeds in the lower state.(11-14 were different)

This is how the SCHSL automatic seeds ended up between 10-14.
10. May River. Highest RPI (0.62423)

11. Lower Richland- RPI (0.47581) (4th in region 4 due to head-to-head over Crestwood)*Leap Frog
12. Crestwood- RPI (0.53862) (5th in region 4 due to head-to-head loss to Lower Richland)*Leap Frog

13. Brookland-Cayce- RPI (0.44529) (4th in region 5 due to head-to-head over South Aiken)*Lead Frog
14. South Aiken- RPI (0.54198) (5th in region 5 due to head-to-head loss to Brookland-Cayce)*Leap Frog

South Aiken's posted RPI is higher than Crestwood.

15 and 16 were the same.

*I still haven't figured it out.

The Upper State 15 and 16 seeds that I had posted were also different.
It appears that those seeds were taken strictly from RPI and that there was no "Leap-Frog" rule in effect.

Upper State At-Large RPI
15. Dreher- RPI (0.41021) (7th in Region 3 due to head-to-head loss to York)
-- I had York here, because I thought a Leap-Frog rule would be applied.
---------York-RPI (0.34940) (6th in region 3 due to head-to-head over Dreher)

Overall State At-Large RPI
16. Lakewood-RPI (0.36831) highest remaining RPI
--I had Dreher here due to having York in the 15 slot.
--Dreher would have had the highest remaining RPI.

I'll try to better understand the seeding process in the future.
If someone can get me up to speed, post or send me an email.

Thanks everybody and enjoy the playoffs.

That will be more than the HSL will do.

For years during the AAAA points system they would often defer to the calculations of an Upstate coach b/c he would always correct them on seeding Saturdays.......
