The Bulldogs enter the playoffs as region champions for the first time since 2016. That year they lost at home in the upper state championship game. That year, the Bulldogs lost 3 games in the regular season, and this year they’ve lost 3 games in the regular season.

I know absolutely nothing about Georgetown or than they’ve won a total of 3 games in the last 4 years, and it’s about a 7 hour round trip for them to drive up to Bulldog Stadium.

I hope the Bulldogs don’t take them lightly and come out ready to play. They didn’t have their best game Friday at Silver Bluff but got the win. We can’t have any nights like that in the postseason or that will be it.

I know the Calpreps predictions have Newberry winning by 50+, but anything can happen in the playoffs. This is the first ever matchup between the schools. Here’s to a good week of practice and safe travels to Georgetown.

See yall in the second round(If we handle business) Georgetown will give y'all NO issues. Dillon was up 43-0 with 9 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. I applaud the fellas they have playing. They are true warriors with heart. They only have about 15-16 guys on the entire team.

This will get ugly and fast. Georgetown has no shot to even be competitive

I just hope we make it through the game injury free. Get a big lead early, let the young guys get some playoff reps, move on to a showdown in round 2.

First quarter went really fast, almost like they’re using a running clock from the start.
