HARTSVILLE 45 BEAUFORT 21 FINAL 11/15/2024

Beaufort's 2024 Football Season ended with a 45-21 loss to Hartsville in the First Round of the Class 4A State Playoffs. Beaufort finished up the 2024 season with a record of 2-9.

Even though Beaufort was a Huge Underdog in this game, The Eagles played Hartsville pretty tough. Hartsville only led Beaufort 14-7 at the Half of this game and it was tied 14-14 in the 3rd quarter before Beaufort ran out of gas.

Even though Hartsville is a predominately running team, The Red Foxes beat Beaufort with 4 long TD Passes. If Beaufort's Defense could have played the pass better, then this might have been a different game. I am happy overall though with the way Beaufort showed their toughness in this game. Even though most people thought that Hartsville was going to blow Beaufort out, I knew Beaufort would give the Foxes a good game. Beaufort is a lot better than their record shows. All the Hartsville fans that I talked with and even one of their assistant coaches said that they were impressed with Beaufort and that the Eagles were one of the toughest teams that they had faced against this year. So that was great to hear.

Beaufort QB Samari Bonds, I thought played a pretty good game in his last game as a Beaufort Eagle. He is a Senior and will be missed. I can't wait though to see him on the Basketball Court. Beaufort RB Xavier Tobias and Beaufort WR Caleb Stephan also had TD'S for Beaufort. I was so happy to see Beaufort FINALLY have 2 RB'S in the Backfield. I think that The Eagles would have had better success this season if they had 2-backs in the backfield. Hopefully, they will use that a lot next season.

Congrats to Hartsville on their win! Good luck the rest of the postseason. I enjoyed My Trip to Kelleytown Stadium, (except for Beaufort losing of course), and we enjoyed a great Dinner at the Blind Pig before the game.

Now is the time for Beaufort Football to get better for the next season. For the returning players, get in the weightroom, Go to the football camps if you can and for the Beaufort Coaches, go and find some great players roaming the halls at Beaufort High and get them to come out for Football.

Next up for Me is Beaufort Basketball. Hopefully, the Beaufort Basketball Teams will have great seasons.

Thanks so much, SF Band dad! I will definitely wish your SF Bruins good luck in the playoffs. Hopefully, Y'all will get to play Hartsville again, but Hilton Head will be tough to beat tonight. The Seahawks have 2 really good RB'S and a QB that can throw the football.
