This has the makings of a good ballgame. Powdersville has won 8 in a row after starting 0-3. Unfortunately they have lost to the only three good teams they have played. Woodruff will be by far the best team the Patriots have seen all year. Wolverines come in at 9-1 on the season.
One game that particularly interests me for Powdersville is the Abbeville game. Abbeville is a little down by their standards and still put up 53. And all they do is run the ball. Woodruff is extremely balanced and we have a punishing running game and massive RB. If Powdersville cannot or has trouble stopping the run then it could be a long night for the Patriots. Just so many weapons for Woodruff on offense.
Yes, we had a hiccup against Pendleton and the game was closer than it could have been but that happens to even the best teams. Of course some people will use that to take their shots at our legitimacy but that's OK.
It will be a good test on Friday and Powdersville is certainly a good team but I think there are too many weapons on both sides for Woodruff. My prediction...
Woodruff 41
Powdersville 28

Dude, please tell me he's not the guy that was on their sideline screaming and throwing a tantrum. He was literally screaming "they're taking our season or something like you can take our season like this?" I looked at the trainer and asked was he a coach and she just said no/ please don't pay him any attention. I thought this guy was going to have a stroke.

Come enjoy the deep fried crow. Goes well with a RC Cola. Might need a little salt and pepper.Wolverine_Legend wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 10:55 amThis has the makings of a good ballgame. Yep, good Lord he was insane. We scored a TD in the 3rd qtr and he immediately started “we’re gonna lose, #4 team in the state, it’s over…” Brother, it’s a HS game. At one point he started yelling we were going to run a fake punt because of our blockers. We did. It worked. He was losing it. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that’s the same guys that are always on punt team.TIM wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 4:32 pmhad to be him!HoodRoad wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 2:56 pmDude, please tell me he's not the guy that was on their sideline screaming and throwing a tantrum. he had a maroon coat (old school nylon style) and khaki hat. Kept throwing the hat and was losing his mind! He walks around with a notepad. He is actually a really good statistician/sportswriter and a good dude. i've known him for 15+years. he just wears his heart on his sleeve and is a bigtime homer when it comes to woodruff. they've never lost a game in which the officials didn't cheat or the other team was better!!

That ‘ol boy gonna kill over one day on the sideline.
