Sumter 48 Crestwood 29
First win under the John Jones era and more importantly...the streak is broken. The stands were packed. We can hold 8,000 and I believe we got pretty close. That was the most people I've ever seen at a Sumter/Crestwood game. James Barnes threw for 316 yds, 3 touchdowns and an interception that was returned for a touchdown. Ky'Jon Tyler had 177 receiving yds before leaving in the third with a mild ankle spain. Ky'Jon also became Sumter's all time leading receiver. We held Ty'Son Williams the best we could limiting him to 106 yds and two touchdowns. We played well defensively. They seem to be coming along. Of course we lost the band competition. On to Stratford.

Totally different styles of band, "show" versus "corps". Any judging of the two performances would be mostly subjective.
Congrats on breaking the streak.

Yeah you're right. And I love our band and when we play Crestwood its like USC vs SC State in regards to bands. So there are certain things we should not be challenging Crestwood in, especially the drumline lol.SF Band dad wrote:bbrown140 wrote:Of course we lost the band competition.![]()
