Same disclaimers as before....

Still too early, more guess than fact at this point
Don't know about all the out of state teams
Don't know about the A, AA, and AAA teams getting to winning record, etc

as of 9/11 ----- ----- as of 9/17 ----- as of 9/22

Region One
Hillcrest 1 -------- Hillcrest 1 -------- Hillcrest 1
Westside 2 ------- Greenwood 2 ---- Greenwood 2
Greenwood 3 ---- Westside 3 -------- Westside 3
Laurens 4 --------- Laurens 4 --------- Laurens 4

One of the biggest games for Region One will be Friday when Greenwod takes on Hillcrest in what could be the determining game for the Region Championship, although Westide and Laurens could have something to say on that subject... I'll go with the home team.

Region Two:
Byrnes 1 -------------- Byrnes 1 -------------- Dorman 1
Boiling Springs 2 ---- Boiling Springs 2 ---- Byrnes 2
Spartanburg 3 ------- Dorman 3 ------------ Boiling Springs 3
Dorman 4 ------------ Spartanburg 4 ------- Spartanburg 4

"Now, Dorman could run the table, and if they beat Dutch Fork on Friday night, you will see them listed as Region Champs next week." Remember that statement I made last week.... well, I'm a man of my word and you see who has the #1 beside their name don't you? Any combination of those four wouldn't suprise me to be honest.... especially this season with it's boatload of surprises.

Region Three:
York 1 --------------- York 1 --------------- York 1
Northwestern 2 ---- Northwestern 2 ---- Northwestern 2
Gaffney 3 ----------- Gaffney 3 ----------- Gaffney 3
Rock Hill 4 ---------- Rock Hill 4 ---------- Rock Hill 4

I'm going to stick with York for now, the only change I thought seriously about was Gaffney -vs- Rock Hill. I almost went with Rock Hill. There is still time to change my mind...

Region Four:
Dutch Fork 1 -------- Dutch Fork 1 -------- Dutch Fork 1
Spring Valley 2 ----- Westwood 2 -------- Westwood 2
Westwood 3 -------- Spring Valley 3 ----- Spring Valley 3

Nothing changes here... Dutch Fork is still heads and shoulders above the rest of this region. I don't know if you could make an "All Region Team" from everyone but Dutch Fork and get me to pick them over Dutch Fork.

Region Five:
North Augusta 1 ----- North Augusta 1 ----- North Augusta 1
White Knoll 2 --------- White Knoll 2 ------- White Knoll 2
Irmo 3 ----------------- Lexington 3 --------- Lexington 3

The worst thing about picking this Region is giving someone the #3 automatic berth. No one seems to be wanting to step up and claim it...

Region Six:
South Florence 1 ----- South Florence 1 ----- South Florence 1
Sumter 2 --------------- Sumter 2 ------------- Sumter 2
West Florence 3 ------ Socastee 3 ---------- Socastee 3

Nothing changes here this week. South Florence and Sumter seem to be headed toward a show down for Region Champs, but Socastee still has my attention. Because of the way the games are scheduled (home teams), there is always the possibility of them all being 1-1 against each other...

Region Seven:
Goose Creek 1 ----- Goose Creek 1 ----- Goose Creek 1
Stratford 2 ---------- Cane Bay 2 ---------- Wando 2
Cane Bay 3 ---------- Stratford 3 ---------- Stratford 3

Hey, I don't think Wando over Summerville was a "fluke" full moon accident....

Region Eight:
Summerville 1 --------- Summerville 1 --------- Fort Dorchester 1
Fort Dorchester 2 ----- Fort Dorchester 2 ----- Summerville 2
Ashley Ridge 3 --------- Ashley Ridge 3 --------- Ashley Ridge 3

See Region VII note above.... You're Welcome, GoBigGreen

9/22 -------------------- 9/22 ----- 9/17 ----- 9/11 -----
1 Fort Dorchester ----- 1 ----- 5 ----- 6 -----
16 Lexington ------------- 16 ----- 13 ----- 14 -----

8 White Knoll ------------- 8 ----- 7 ----- 7 -----
9 Sumter ------------- 9 ----- 8 ----- 8 -----

4 Hillcrest ------------- 4 ----- 4 ----- 4 -----
13 Rock Hill ------------- 13 ----- 16 ----- 15 -----

5 Byrnes ------------- 5 ----- 3 ----- 2 -----
12 Ashley Ridge ----- 12 ----- 10 ----- 12 -----
=========================================================================================================
2 Dorman ------------- 2 ----- 9 ----- 10 -----
15 Spring Valley ----- 15 ----- 15 ----- 9 -----

7 Summerville ----- 7 ----- 2 ----- 3 -----

3 Dutch Fork ------------- 3 ----- 1 ----- 1 -----
14 Gaffney ------------- 14 ----- 14 ----- 16 -----

6 Wando ------------- 6 ----- 11 ----- 13 -----
11 Mauldin ------------- 11 ----- 12 ----- 11 -----

9/22 -------------------- 9/22 ----- 9/17 ----- 9/11 -----
1 Goose Creek ----- 1 ----- 1 ----- 1 -----
16 Fort Mill ---------- 16 ----- 0 ----- 0 -----

8 Westside ----- 8 ----- 9 ----- 5 -----
9 Laurens ----- 9 ----- 11 ----- 10 -----

4 North Augusta ----- 4 ----- 4 ----- 3 -----

12 Socastee ----- 12 ----- 12 ----- 0 -----

14 JL Mann ---------- 14 ----- 0 ----- 0 -----

74 don't laugh at me but keep an eye out for Conway in region play. This team is improved and could easily be 4-1 right now. Defense which has been our Achilles heel lately has played well enough to win except Hartsville. Offense has been slow out the gate but finally had a breakout game against Marlboro. The dawgs always bring out the best in the Tigers. Anyway we might not beat MB this week but after SF and Sumter region play is wide open. We already played Socastee and should have beat them. The one that counts is at home. WF lost their QB and are struggling while we all know CF is well CF. Coach Jordan has made drastic changes in the program that caused our problems and it's starting to pay off. We are not there yet but closer than most people think. Actually coach Jordan has taken a step back this year and letting the assistants handle things. A prelude of things to come? ;) I've heard some interesting rumors that involve BIG changes for next year. This Friday night the Tigers might be on audition. :o

Only reason I put Socastee there is they have already beaten you, and I figured, eh, they may do it again... they played MB pretty close didn't they?

It took a pick 6 and special teams td for MB to beat them. Socastee is no where good as they were last year. They just play good fundamentals and don't beat themselves. Solid team but not great either. MB is winning although not pretty but they will get it together. Your projections are the best bet right now. I'm just making you aware to not be surprised if Conway wins a couple and steals that third playoff spot.

I thought I remembered it being a close game...

Heck, I'd be surprised if things didn't change...

Not a whole lot of "upsets" in key games last night, so I wouldn't expect major changes to the projections this week...
