Projections as of 10/20

Post by Rebel-Fan-74 »

We will have some changes...

I cannot tell you how important it is that we get the correct numbers. Using my list, first draft says that the cut line has moved to include the #22 team in Division One... Goose Creek and Northwestern moving up would mean seven of the eight Region Champs in Division One....

Agreed.
We really need the complete ADM, it is getting difficult to keep up with Multiple Spreadsheets.
1st Spreadsheet is just Results (last years ADM)
2nd Spreadsheet is just Results (based on ADM from RAW Data)

3rd Speadsheet is Projections (last years ADM) (including records for 4A, 3A, some 2A, one 1A, and Out of State opponents)
4th Speadsheet is Projections (based on ADM from RAW Data) (including records for 4A, 3A, some 2A, one 1A, and Out of State opponents)

Still working on them. Hope to have them done either Sunday night or Monday Night. :ugeek:

And then after all that...I'm not sure which Projections to post. :?
Because ALL of them are likely WRONG somewhere and will need an adjustment.. :(

Appreciate the effort, guys.

Any reason why the schsl has not released the current 135 adm yet?

Well, none that I can post on a public board....

The numbers that we have been given don't match the BIG 16 that is listed on the AAAA Handbook {neither list} so that makes it even worse.

Ever consider a petition? Not sure enough folks would sign to make diff but you never know. How many folks are tuning in every week for standings and projections?

I think I will have to have some serious "DISCLAIMERS" on this week's projections...

I'm really confused on which list to use? Here are #1 through #23 on each "OFFICIAL LIST"
Image

This is copied and pasted directly from the AAAA Handbook at: http://www.schsl.org/classAAAA.html" target="_blank

FOOTBALL REGULATIONS
The Class AAAA conference will declare play-off participants in accordance with conference regulations.
The conference will be divided into eight regions. Regions I, II, III and IV will be upper state. Regions V, VI, VII and VIII will be lower state. For football purposes, the AAAA Conference will be divided into Divisions I and II.
I. Big 16 (Division I)
The sixteen largest schools, by enrollment from the 2013-2014, 135-ADM will be considered Big Sixteen determining points for the “Point System” on a yearly basis.
Listed below for 2014:
1. Wando
2. Dorman
3. Summerville
4. Sumter
5. Boiling Springs
6. James F. Byrnes
7. West Ashley
8. Mauldin
9. Dutch Fork
10. Hillcrest
11. Ashley Ridge
12. Fort Dorchester
13. Gaffney
14. Spring Valley
15. Clover
16. Carolina Forest

Which matches the list in the light blue shading. The problem, the list in green was sent to at least two different schools as the official list.

??? confused ???

The real big issues are:

Does Dutch Fork give you the half point bonus? According to the latest list, NO. According to the handbook from the website, YES.

Who moves up if Clover, Carolina Forest, Rock Hill etc do not qualify? Is is the blue list or the green list?

I can tell you this much for certain.... the cut line is looking like #22 in Division One with #23 not too far of a stretch to become Division One.

So for now, I'm not posting a PROJECTION until I can have time for some thoughts on how I want to show #1-#23.

One projection question. WHAT IF Fort Mill upsets York this weekend? That would be 1.NW 2.FM 3.York in Region 3. What does that possible do to state D1/D2 seedings?

For the record...THANKS!!!!!!! for all the guys that track and do the projections!!!!!

Just my 2 cents........

I think the official list from the handbook should be used until the schsl officially releases another list (light blue).

I really like the green list as it would basically group all the perennial "power" schools together. Sorry for South Florence not being in there. ;)
