Someone asked me if I could find any way for Goose Creek to end up in the D1 bracket...

Let's just say that you have to get very CREATIVE.
but it is mathematically POSSIBLE.

(6 schools with higher enrollments than Goose Creek (22) would have to miss the Playoffs)
1. Either Boiling Springs (4) or Mauldin (7)
2. Lexington (18)
3. Spring Valley (14)
4. Rock Hill (15)
5. Clover (12)
6. Carolina Forest (10)

The Unlikely Path
1. Lexington lose to White Knoll
--------and Wando lose to James Island (this keeps LEXINGTON at 32.5)

2. Spring Valley can't get an automatic bid.

3. Greenville beat Easley-
---why? Greenville would get an automatic bid and force Laurens into the At-Large pool

4. Boiling Springs losing and not having enough points
---or Mauldin losing and not having enough opponent wins??

5. Colleton County getting some help from their opponents and making the playoffs.

6. Socastee beating Sumter
---this would make West Florence an At-Large team

And finally
7. West Florence must get to 32.5 points
--(1.WF beat SF, 2.Camden win 3A playoff game, 3.Wilson win 3A playoff game)
If all 3 happen, WF would be at 33.5 in the playoffs
If 2 of the 3 happen, it would come down to opponent wins

There you go, this is the only way I could get my spreadsheet to accomplish it.....
I don't know if there is another way....

And to summarize the above....Goose Creek will very likely(99.5%) be in the Div II playoffs this year .

A good suggestion from Rebel-Fan-74 led me on a path and I found another way that Goose Creek could go to the D1 bracket.

With these results:
Lexington loses to White Knoll
James Island beats Wando (also costs Lexington a half point)
West Ashley beats Cane Bay

James Island would get 3rd place automatic bid from Region 7.

Colleton County "could" then knock out Lexington and Mauldin on opponent wins.

This could put "Goose Creek" in the D1 Bracket!!!!!!!!

Still not very likely but it is another way
