Live 4A Scoreboard - Download the App - Score your team

Post by SF Band dad »

For the last 3 weeks several of us have been playing around with a free phone App offered by ScoreStream. It allows fans to provide live updates to the game they are watching and to follow other games they are interested in.

It is reasonably easy to score a game and to follow other games that are being scored. It's not perfect but we decided to make everyone here aware of it and encourage people to give it a try. Not enough games were being scored in the regular season, but if we can get just a handful of people doing it I think we can have a complete live scoreboard. Multiple people can score the same game, it actually makes the scores more accurate.

The phone App's "Featured Games" are simply based on your location, and didn't feature the games we were really interested in. To bridge that gap we have created a number of custom scoreboards linked to the ScoreStream website, links to those scoreboards are below.

The games won't be listed until someone signs up to score it live. Sometimes that doesn't happen until the game starts. They will update every 60 seconds once the game starts. ScoreStream will add the final scores of the other games once they become aware of them.

Some phones do not display all the 4A games on the main scoreboard correctly, for that reason we have created smaller scoreboards for each division that are more phone friendly.

The App is available at the iPhone store and Google play. Get more info and download the App here: http://scorestream.com/

A game won't show up on the scoreboard until someone signs up to score it live or when Scorestream posts the final scores as they receive them.

Main Scoreboard - All 4A Games

Division I and II scoreboards - More phone friendly

4A Division I

4A Division II

Looks like Spartanburg is gonna have a busy night Friday!
Somehow a game between Spartanburg and Riverside AND a game between Spartanburg and York and a was created for this Friday but I deleted the York game so now it only shows Spartanburg against Riverside.

Cool. All 16 games are on deck for Friday with scorekeepers. There's two Gaffney games, with the home team swapped. I did the same thing by mistake, put dorman as the home team. I will fix the dorman game and remove the incorrect Gaffney matchup.

Today I couldn't find my dorman/fort mill game on my app, not even when I searched by game/team. I went to "manage my teams", clicked on the dorman link to get to dorman's page and then I had to click "view more games" but I finally found it again.

I created a widget on the scorestream web site. Is there a way to load this via a smart phone?

Yes, you can view the widgets in your phone's browser, just navigate to it like you would any other webpage. BTW, I already created a Div I widget, the link is in my initial post on this topic. I used the small format which should be more phone friendly.

When I try to pull it up on my phone the web site does not seem to function properly. I end up with one page scrolling over a second page. I somehow managed to get to the entry box for the widget code and was able to enter it. However, I ended up with multiple pages all loaded simultaneously which led me to go to yahoo.com to read the news .

Yeah, The Lord help ya if you have to do anything on their mobile website. It's completely broken. I've sent them a message about it already even before you mentioned it.

The page at your link looks fine on my phone. You have to be really careful scrolling, each horizontal section is a link to that game, and it's really easy to accidentally open a new window. That is why I prefer the small format which allows me to view all 8 games without scrolling.
