10-1 Record (the teams with winning record teams)
River Bluff's very first varsity game
AA School that is good but AA
6-5 Spring Valley

Lost solidly to Dutch Fork

I don't know much of anything about Westwood, they may run the table in Division II; however, the 10-1 is not as impressive when looked at in detail... seven teams with losing record...
Rebel-Fan brought up some interesting thoughts on Westwood's schedule.....
I can't say that I disagree with any of them. :) I pretty much agree with all of it.

But just to show how you can play Devil's Advocate on scheduling, i'll point something out that I bet most people don't know......
Spartanburg has only beaten one team with a winning record all season. :o
That team just happens to be Dorman, but we respect Spartanburg largely because of the names they beat...
(Union, Gaffney, and Dorman) and they are in Region 2.

Don't misunderstand me, If I had to pick a D2 Champ today....it "might" be Spartanburg.
Just pointing something out.

Any other teams schedules that could be picked apart? :?:

I keep looking at the brackets and really dont get how some of these teams are seeded where they are. The record they have in my book is some what tarnished due to lack of strength in schedule.

That's because under the current system, strength of schedule is watered down. Any system that rewards you a bonus for beating a 6-5 Spring Valley but nothing for beating a 9-2 Dutch Fork doesn't look at "strength of schedule".

There is no easy answer, I know...
There are some good ideas floating around, but it is not an exact science. Look at the NCAA, they've tried many different ways and they still have issues in basketball and football.

Remember under this system, that 9-2 and 11-0 are the exact same record after write offs.
