Don't really know too much about them other than they've only lost one game
. They have not played the toughest of opposition so I'm "Hoping" with Greenwood's brutal non region schedule will help the Eagles come Friday. We'll see what happens.

I haven't seen Greenwood in person this year but I can tell you what you traditionally see.

Greenwood never seems to lack for Talent and Athleticism.
There aren't many High School teams that are more physically gifted than Greenwood.

This year's Greenwood team is adjusting to a new coaching staff, which came with a new offensive system.
They struggled with turnovers while adjusting to the new system in the early part of the season.
I seem to recall that they have either changed or started rotating Qb's recently?

While their record (8-4) isn't exceptional, the early part of their Schedule had a lot to do with the tough start.
It is like a "who's who" of HIgh School football in this state.
Dutch Fork, Dorman, Northwestern, Spartanburg, and Hillcrest.
(As Rebel Fan pointed out, all five of these teams are still playing)
Greenwood went (1-4) during that stretch.
They have now won 7 in a row.

This could be an interesting game.
Win this game....
and I think it would be fair to say it is the best team either Westwood or Greenwood has beaten this year.

Greenwood began rotating the JV QB because the starter was having trouble holding on to the snaps. Now the sophomore JV QB (Roshun Jackson) is the full time starter. Roshun has been a VERY pleasant surprise. He's a lefty and Dual threat QB. He will be a very special player for us next year and his senior year. The former starter at QB(CJ Jackson) was waaaay too good of an athlete not to be on the field. He has now converted to tailback and doing damn well to!That gives us another weapon with the half back option pass and such. Greenwood has beaten who they were "supposed" to beat this year so far. The losses were bad losses to good team but as you mentioned that was due to all the changes, injuries to star players, and bad fundamentals in a new system. We just weren't that good at the start of the season. We are pretty healthy now and the fundamentals have gotten way way better. The kids are starting to "get it". Greenwood has been through a lot this year. Especially the kids. Getting teased at school for getting blown out early in the year and the community whispering asinine things when we were 1-4. There are still Seniors on this team. Leaders. THEY WANT TO GO ALL THE WAY as well as the rest of the team, coaches, and fans. Can we? We'll see come Friday if all those blowout losses paid off. Hopefully the kids learned from them all.

They've gotten better for sure. Took a little longer than most of us would've liked, but we're finally getting our lugs tightened.

Shutout by Greenwood 16-0. Any thoughts? Westwood has some huge kids.

We played horribly in the first half all around. And while our D stepped up big time in the 2nd half, our offense could not get anything going. Props to you guys for playing a great game. That QB of yours has some SERIOUS speed.

He wasn't our original starting qb. Moved up from jv. Our original starter was having issues with snaps etc. He has moved to rb and has been doing well. They're young, 44 return next season. 9 of the current 11 starters return on offense, 6 on defense. Our record is kind of deceiving.
