It couldn't have happened to a more deserving team. It sucks to here that the DF QB went out, but sometimes that can happen. They had no answer for your offense. You guys deserve to be champions.

Very impressive. Hillcrest's defensive speed won the day. They held one of the most productive offenses in the state to a handful of first downs and one offensive TD.

Congratulations to the Rams.

I don't believe that it would have changed the outcome of this game. Maybe the final score, but not the outcome.

I think that Dutch Fork only had 2 first downs at the point when their 1st string Qb left the game.
The kid was being pressured heavily while he was in there.

No disrespect because the timing of this comment...

My first thought is PLEASE MAKE SURE SOMEONE PAYS THE COACH! He's done an amazing job and it is a known fact that Greenville County doesn't support the football programs like some of the other counties.... and you know, there is a school already formulating a plan to make him an offer! I think it is fantastic that in a place that has been known for lackluster football teams, they are celebrating a win that not too many thought would happen!

The only way I would be happier would be if the Rebels had won another one.... CONGRATS!

We sat on the visitor's side and made the acquaintance of several Hillcrest fans sitting around us. They voiced exactly that concern. In fact, they seemed resigned to the fact that some other school will be paying him a lot more money in the near future.

If I were a Hillcrest fan I'd hold a doggone fund drive. Hopefully Porter will stay with Hillcrest and not follow the money though I'm sure most wouldn't blame him if he did. But even if he does you still got the title and that is priceless.

I'm older and MUCH closer to retirement age, but when someone offers me a raise, I at least listen to what they say. Now in my case, it takes much more to convince me to move than a raise, having those grandsons nearby is also a big factor!

If he's got a wife and kids, you know he would have to listen to a potential raise...but I agree, figure something out there Ram fans! You've got a coach now keep him! I'm not sure, but from what I've heard, home games are packed now, even away games have big Ram followings. And now as defending State Champions, that should mean 8th grade team tryouts should be bigger, JV Teams and Varsity Teams 3 and 4 deep at some postitions, interest should be at MAX... Ram fans enjoy it and build on it as well.
