With the New 8 Quarter Rule into effect... Will the JV programs be hurt or even cancelled.. I have heard some schools have already cancelled JV program. I have have Riverside does not have the numbers to field both teams? Thoughts???

I'm hearing different things from different schools.... but there is a common link to almost every one. Instead of 9th grade team, JV and Varsity, there could only be two teams now for many schools.

One school has already stated that there would be no 9th grade team and the JV would be 9th graders and guys who would not likely get playing time on varsity. If the #1 and #2 and #3 on the varsity depth chart are healthy, the rest of the players at that position would be JV, so no more extra PT for the #2 or #3 from the varsity roster. If #1 or #2 are banged up or questionable, the #4 wouldn't even play JV that week.

Translated, God Bless the JV coach because he wouldn't have a clue who was playing until Thursday morning...

I don't think JV teams will be as affected as B teams.

How many schools have that many teams?

All I know is Varsity, Junior Varsity and 9th grade... what is a B Team?

Sorry lol. In the Sumter and Columbia areas our 9th grade teams are called B teams

We have JV and varsity in high school. Our middle school teams are 8th graders which we call B teams.

If yall are calling that b teams then what are they calling C teams
