Easley @ Daniel: Measuring Stick Game

Post by EHSMeanGreen »

Well, It's time for Easley's "measuring stick game".

Easley @ Daniel

No other game on our schedule is a greater indicator of how our season typically goes.
Easley has played Daniel 21 times since 1988.
Over that time we are only 5-16. :(

All 5 times that Easley beat Daniel, My Green Wave finished the season with a winning record.
2012- 9-3
2011- 11-2
2010- 9-4
1997- 12-2
1988- 10-4

Conversely, if Easley loses to Daniel. We have managed to have a winning record only once in those 16 seasons. :(
In 2005, Easley still managed to go 7-4 after losing to Daniel.
2014- 4-7
2013- 5-7
2009- 1-10
2008- 0-11
2005- 7-4
2004- 5-6
2003- 0-11
2002- 0-11
1996- 6-6
1995- 5-6
1994- 2-9
1993- 1-10
1992- 6-6
1991- 6-6
1990- 4-7
1989- 5-6

Anybody else have an opponent that is an indicator of how your season will go? :?:

Go Green, Roll Wave!

Interesting. I don't think we have a regular early opponent other than Wilson.

Statistically, they probably do look like an "indicator" since they used to routinely beat us when we sucked, and we've been regularly beating them since we started having winning seasons 6 years ago.

Good luck to Easley. Daniel traditionally always has one of the best teams in AAA every year. Hopefully you guys can pull it out and make Region 1 look stronger.
