For the first time in probably 12 - 15 years, I would say that the Rebels are a double digit underdog at home.... and probably should be.
No doubt MC is a legit team and deserving of the high rankings they have attained.
We, on the other hand, are a good team that needs to cut out the mistakes (especially stupid penalties) and play with more focus and discipline. We have the talent to be a good team, maybe even a great team.... quite possibly a Region Championship contending team; but Dorman and Spartanburg will not be "gimmies" this season. Both are very talent laden teams as well, and both are coached well and prepared well, week in and week out.
If I were to pick this game today, I would say the 12.5 points that someone offered me a while ago would be about an accurate number to entice betting on both sides of the ledger. My heart says REBELS, but my head says give me 15.5 points and we will be more accurate.
So, as a compromise, I'll say MC wins by a score of 38 - 30.
Now go out there and prove me wrong Rebels!
