Greenwood at Northwestern

Greenwood has a really good team this year that for whatever reason appears to play better on the road. However, the kids need to understand that due to the current caliber of teams we're playing, ANY LITTLE mistake that they make more than likely WILL cost them the game. We played mistake free against Dutch Fork and got the win. We made stupid mistakes against Dorman and lost. If we play smart and stay focused I like our chances against anybody. Hopefully we can get the win this Friday. We'll just have to see. One thing is for sure, Greenwood will be very dangerous come playoff time. Last year we got our behinds whipped 4/5 games in this tough stretch and made it ALL the way to the semi finals with new coaches and a new system. Even if we lose the next three against NW, SPBG, and Hillcrest gotta keep playing and practicing hard. It will pay off at the end. #goeaagles

Your DB's looked lost on many occasions tonight. The seam route was open all night. Good luck the rest of the year!!

They looked lost because they WERE lost. Our own play by play guy said it. Greenwood hasn't been beaten like this in quite some time. We actually were more competitive in last year's game. NW, Byrnes and Spartanburg seem to be on another level this year. Greenwood just isn't there yet. Thanks for the good wishes trojangrad78, same to you guys! If NW can find a way to get by Byrnes, there is no reason you guys shouldn't win Div.1 State.
