I'm thinking I will skip the Dorman game and watch the Spartanburg/Byrnes contest.

The loss to Dutch Fork was a heartbreaker. After snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, we had it snatched back with 20 secs to go.

I was surprised at how poorly the article in the paper was written. My sparse updates on Scorestream were better than the whole article.

Anyway I'm kind of gutted by last week. Hopefully the Cavs will help me get over it in the weeks to come. I was really hoping to meet the Vikings undefeated.

Dorman currently losing 17-7

Dorman held on to win 21/17

Mauldin is better than I expected and played as well as possible. I think they ran out of gas in the last 3rd into the 4th quarter. Dorman took control of the line and dominated the LOS as the game progressed.

The Cavs made a huge 4th and 2 midway through the 4th and Hill took a read option for 35 yards. The Cavs went on to score and take the lead.

The Dorman Defense kept Maudlin scoreless in the second half and the offense did enough to win. The offense did take the ball down to the 1 foot line with 2 or 3 minutes left and turned it over on downs. I thought Hill scored but the ref marked it on the 1 foot line. The game ended with Dorman on the 8.

Still a W on a horrible night and on to next week.

Just like I said about the Byrnes/Bulldog game. Its the kind of win you want before a big opponent. Hopefully we didn't go to deep into the playbook and maybe the Viking players will look at the score tonight and be over confident. Dave, I think you'd agree with me...Spartanburg is very good but not invincible. Byrnes had a few chances to even it up and maybe even use momentum to take control. Credit the Vikes for preventing that from happening but I did see scenarios from Thursday night that help me see Dorman being able to pull this one out. Gonna be a tough one and we'll have to play mistake free and full throttle but we can beat Spartanburg.

Oh, the Scorestream app seems to have trouble updating. Bouncing out to a different game and back again to the Dorman game seemed to refresh the game page.

I believe dorman has a good chance next week. Run the ball and pick the defense apart between the hashes with the pass. That has and is the soft spot in Millers defenses.

Yes, Byrnes was killing them on the ground on that one drive before the fumbled. Spartanburg were on their heels. The key is going to be running on them. They are very good at breaking up a passing game.

Why do I have a feeling Gutshall started his gameplan a week early ?

Yeah, I've said it a million time since last night. Have to roll the pocket to slow down the pressure and run the ball. We started running a little too late. Once we fumbled down ten, we felt like we had to push the issue.
