Never seen that site in such poor shape. It's almost impossible to read a thread with the time stamps as wonky as they are.

I'm going to start PM'ing posters over there.

I agree DeCav!!! PFT is broken pretty bad. The times of the posts are really out of wack and sometimes a post will not go thru over there. Someone really needs to fix that board. But I do love SCPrepTalk also!!!! It is nice to not worry about posts NOT going thru over here. It is a great site. .

I am embarrassed that I started that site and worked my ass off for years to make it successful. What the SHJ has allowed the place to become is sad.

It is a cess pool and lacks any clear leadership.

It makes me sad because I worked so hard to make a great place and now........ They should just close it down

Very well said. I was chatting with Mr. Overstreet at one of the jamborees and he gave me a little background on the creation of the board. I've thought several times this year about how much homegrown work went into building up that site and how they've just let it go. The Spartanburg fans are frustrating but those kinds of fans come and go. You don't have to click on any of their threads if you don't want to. But it's the technical side that just burns my ass up. (BTW, you can say "ass" on this site.)

The stupid submit button hasn't worked for the last 2 years! Ads, questions, and now the time stamps all make it nearly impossible to enjoy the site.

I think back over the past 5 years I've been posting myself and all the great memories and then I look at what it has become. To think that the present PFT is the same PFT that raised $600 and presented a plaque to Bobby Thompson's family...it's sad. I've thought on more than one occasion that it must frustrate the founders of the site.

You are right Dave, it is a lack of leadership over there both on the technical side and the social side. This site is working so far because it is run by fans of the game, not a company with better things to do. When both technical issues and social conflicts have erupted over here, the staff has literally huddled up on each occasion to attack the problem at the root.

It always kind of surprises me how tenacious PFT and it's users are though. People are stubborn and used to PFT. It seems no matter how bad it gets we still go there and post (I'm no different!)

Anyway, I'm not sure what will happen if knuckle dragging fans come over here and start disrupting things but I guarantee SCPrepTalk will be more engaged in resolutions than the current administration over there has been.

I hate all the years I was driving the Volvo (PFT) when I could have been driving the Lamborghini... SC Prep Talk. To the gentleman that started PFT If I ever did or said anything on the board that wasn't in good taste I'm sorry. It was a very fun place to be at one time. This board is going to get hopping but Thank God the mods have alot of John Wayne in em.

I posted for 3 or 4 years at PFT before the surveys sent me over the edge and I decided to see how hard it would be to create a forum. I'm still registered there with the same screen name, I still occasionally read and post there. For the reasons everyone has already mentioned, it is becoming increasing frustrating to do so.

The moderators here will mostly try to stay out of the way. You will see us trimming, reorganizing and sometimes combining topics to keep things moving. We will step in if we see topics being repeatedly hijacked, threats of violence, etc...

I can't remember everyone that ever insulted me at PFT,..... except for Slicker. Him I remember.

Slick is a steady plateau of abuse and meanness packaged with a relentless dose of ALL CAPS and misspelled words.
