First time Hanna has beaten Greenwood since Shell Dula's first year in 1997. I thought after the first five weeks that Greenwood would be better and make a run. I was wrong I guess. It appears my Eagles just don't have it this year. Congrats to Hanna. A lot of Greenwood posters including myself have disappeared off these forums and the other forums. Not all but most. I'm gonna go ahead and man up. Hopefully we can get through this and at least make the playoffs. Gotta get a win next week at Easley. I will day this...... Region one is much improved this year than the previous decade or so. #goeagles

I pull for the EAGLES.my son and one of my daughters
graduated from GREENWOOD high.

Once that TL Hanna 9th grade QB cuts down on some bad decisions...he's gonna be really good...He made some throws not many 9th graders could make..and it wasn't like he was going against a scrub defense...

That young man has a really good arm. Really good Qb. Plenty of talent around him too.
It will be cool to watch him develop.

Bad part is seeing him line up against my Green Wave the next 3 years.

i don't know what has happened to the Eagles this year but I think it's just an off year for the Eagles and the result of playing one of if not the most difficult schedule in the state. In high school football you are going to have years like this where the talent is just not there. I think that's just the nature of being coaching in public schools where your talent level is dependent on the type of kids who live in your school's zone. I think Greenwood will be back next year and compete for regions titles once again in 5A. Greenwood will win 2 out of their remaining 3 games to finish the season at 5-6 which will probably be good enough to make the playoffs when you throw in the 4A point system.

I feel your pain brother. One of my teams is RNE. Imagine how I feel on here. Still proud of their effort though. They are still just kids entertaining us. Good luck!
