Summerville at Colleton County

Since we had a buy week I have not had much Summerville talk so lets get it going early this week! I'm sure Colleton will be favored going into this game (wow that feels weird to say), but I am optimistic about this week. The Greenwave need to rattle off 3 straight region wins to head into the playoffs. We have probably played as poorly and been coached as poorly as I have seen in a long time so hopefully this bye week came at the right time. We have talent, especially on offense, and we are capable of making a run. We are definitely not a championship team because our defense will let us down, but we are capable of getting a win in the playoffs. That's if we actually make the playoffs  !

Love the optimism mrfootball4life but I just don't see us winning again this year. I agree that we have the talent on offense to put up big numbers but we are just lacking leadership. I will be there pulling for our boys and coaches as I have all year but have accepted the belief that change is coming once the season is over.

Also, I believe if we go 2-2 with wins over Bluffton and CC we would likely make the playoffs. I say this because AR has already beat CC and Bluffton and Fort D has beat CC and will likely also beat Bluffton this coming Friday. Assuming we lose to AR and beat CC and Bluffton you would have a 3 way tie at 2-2 in the region. With a win over both we would take 3rd place in the region.

A bye week giving you extra time to prepare, knowing how much they really want to beat the Greeines... makes this one a tough one to calll. I agree with the 2-2, and should all three of you end up 1-3 and 1-1 between you all, you may still sneak in based on points...

The fact that we are talking about us "sneaking" into the playoffs is crazy! I knew we would be down this season, but I never thought we would be talking about sneaking into the playoffs and hoping for a win against CC. When you hear people talking around town about football it's not about if we have a chance, heck it's not even about the football team. All anyone is talking about is the coaching staff and how bad the play calling is, how we don't make any defensive adjustments, how we have a few big time players that they feel sorry for. This is not what football is suppose to be in Summerville! See GBG I said I was coming into this week positive and upbeat, and here you go making me face reality     ! This is going to be the week The Greenwave turns things around! Go Greenwave

I think the real questions everyone has ?
Is #4 healthy enough to play Friday night ?
Do we have a team left or have they packed it up and looking to transfer?

Personally, if the coaching staff isn't committed to at least win the last 3 games then they need to be dismissed immediately.
This is a year of interim and so far I'm not impressed with this staff running the program for the next few years.

Summerville will beat Colleton County. They were really not very good at all, I thought Summerville looked much better. I know CC has had quite an injury toll and maybe they just had an off night last Friday, but I just can't see Summerville losing this game especially with pride and playoffs on the line.

I hear #4 taylor is back. As far as the team goes I'm not sure. I hope we have some leadership amount the players to try and keep everyone focused and invested. With the way the staff has handled the season Keeping the boys invested in the team may be the biggest obstacle. Well that and the pass defense
