How Bout Them Rebs

That was the best game the Rebels have played all year, and to do it against a good Dorman made it even better. Don't go into WH being disrespectful and running the score up. Leave injury free and use that bye week before the playoffs to fine tune something's. Big Blue is looking like it's ready to make a strong run for #12. Go Rebels! Rebel Nation!

I expect Byrnes to win state this year. The Big 4A is very weak this year.

That was a much needed dominate win for the Rebs, against a good team. NW has stumbled out the blocks the last few weeks but still has managed to put together dominating performances. I expect to see a Byrnes NW showdown in the playoffs before state, which neither team really wants to see.

Big congrats to the Rebel fans. I was goin nuts having to miss the game last night because of a Halloween party commitment with the family. Only late during the party did I realize I was probably having more fun there than I would have at Nixon. Still, if I had it over to do again without prior commitments I would have gone to the game even knowing what I know.

I knew the Rebels would bring it on defense and that our own defense would be vulnerable but I didn't expect the beat down we took. Good things coming next year but we are still looking for an identity this year.

Peace!

I wish the boys would practice the option against WH. We ran it a few times against Dorman and it looked ok. We know the passing game is there, and the run is getting better, but we still have some work to do. There are 3 weeks left before Byrnes will face a strong opponent. If we could take those three weeks and practice running the ball, it would make our passing game even better because defenses would have to stop both. I don't understand why on the weaker teams like Riverside, etc that we don't practice on areas where we struggle.

I agree with all that has been said. That was the best game we have played all season. The run game was non existent until the fourth quarter when Dorman's defense got tired. We had some success with some old school Danny Ford option plays. Hopefully the boys can build on this momentum into the playoffs

Go Rebels!

Literally the Dorman score should have had at least 2 or more TD's. We have some key and I do mean key guys that need to rest a few ailments before we hit the playoffs. This bye week and also playing WH is what we needed so that the boys can make the run for #12. Score what you need to in the 1st quarter and a half and let the 2's get some well deserved playing time. Even though we played out best game of the year against Dorman it could've been better. Get your 1s some reps next week but really be preparing on getting healthy and ready to play Mauldin or BS come November 20th. I've thought every year this could be the year, but something is feeling a little special about this year. These Rebels have the drive... They want to be at Williams Brice in a month of so playing for a ring. Main objective this week get the kids healthy and get your 2's some well earned reps. Lets go into the playoffs healthy and everyone on the same page.
