I would think if it comes down to points between CC, Summerville and Bluffton....I would THINK summerville would have the advantage just by playing the teams in Region 7. I don't believe Bluffton or CC play all of those schools...Bluffton played and beat Wando, that's the only other AAAA they played besides their region games....CC played Cane bay and west ashley. A Summerville win and it won't matter anyway.....

Based on the updated "Points w/Markoffs" SF Band Dad has posted in the "4A Standings Week 10" thread, the following is currently the Mins and Maxes for all three teams:

Summerville Max 32 Min 30
CC Max 32 Min 31
Bluffton Max 31 Min 28

Points only become a factor if Summerville loses. In that case, our Max should drop 1 point to 31. CC's season is over but they can still get to a Max of 32 dependent on some of their opponents getting to winning records. So it appears the fate of all three teams could come down to an opponent of CC winning or losing the last game. For Bluffton to get to their max of 31 they would have to beat Summerville and also pick up two more points from their opponents. If they did not get to their max, we would have a two way tie at 31 between Summerville and CC with Summerville taking it on the head to head.

Also posted in his same thread is the following order for seeding.
The 4A seeding process:
Points w/markoffs
Head-to-Head wins/losses
Opponent wins w/markoffs
Opponent losses w/markoffs
Points without markoffs
Opponent wins without markoffs
Opponent losses without markoffs
Coin flip

I know the chances are so ridiculously small it's not worth really talking about but can you imagine being tied with a team for a playoff spot and going through all those levels of tie breakers only to have it all end up being decided by a coin flip? Really puts things into an existential perspective...all the pain and sweat of offseason training and the ups and downs of a football season all being decided by something as trivial as the fluttering of a tiny metal disk. Really makes you forget about all the work put into the season and realize that all semblance of order are symptoms of man's ego mad mind. All effort is vain and all order an illusion...existence is a vulgar absurdity.

Colleton has a game left with South Aiken...that was initially cancelled but with the extension of the season....I believe they will have their off week this coming week as scheduled for week 11...and play south aiken in the next week.

I've updated the numbers with the latest wins/losses from 3A, 2A and out-of-state opponents. Some of the "potential" points have disappeared as some of those opponents will not have winning records.

Summerville - Points Max 31, Min 30
Markoffs: Berkely, Wando
Opponent wins/losses: 44/46

Colleton Co. - Points 31
Markoffs: South Aiken, O-W
Opponent wins/losses: 46/41

Bluffton - Points Max 30, Min 28
Markoffs: Johnson (GA), Battery Creek
Opponent wins/losses: 52/33

Oh crap, you are correct. The Colleton Co. vs South Aiken game has been rescheduled. It's listed HERE on the SCHSL website.

 Those numbers I just posted for Colleton county.... yeah, they're now wrong.

Ok what does that mean if summerville beats bluffton and Colleton beats South Aiken with Colleton having 32 max points and Summerville having 31 max points but summerville would be 3rd in the region with a losing record and Colleton County would have a winning record at 6-5

If Summerville beats Bluffton, Summerville is in the playoffs. Because CC and Bluffton would finish the region at 1-3 and Summerville would sit at 2-2, Summerville would claim 3rd place in the region and qualify for the playoffs. We would likely be the #16 seed and get the chance to travel to the #1 seed in the first round of the playoffs. Now if we lose then it gets interesting as we would have a tie at 1-3 in the region and it would come down to playoff points to begin with to determine the 3rd place finisher in Region VIII.

Correct. Win and you're in.

Lose, and it's a 3-way tie with no team having beat the other two head-to-head.
Colleton County takes 3rd place on points.
Bluffton takes 4th based on the head-to-head win over S'ville.
Summerville falls to 5th place and does not have enough points for an at-large berth.
