Rooting for Fort D this week!

it is very hard for me to root for Fort Dorchester.... EVER, but this week they will have my full support against Ashley Ridge. I was very disappointed at the acts of vandalism to Summerville's field, their stadium, and even their cheerleaders. I have no problem with fun between rivals, stealing mascots, posting signs, etc. I have no problem with trash talk and competiveness. But to poor bleach all over the S in the middle of the field and damage the playing surface, to spray paint AR all over the signs around the stadium, to spray our younger cheerleaders in the face and hair with silly string as they walk on the visitors side to sell programs, and to rush the field after the game and tear the padding off the goal post and throw things in our student section is ridiculous! The fact that our students or players were able to restrain themselves from it becoming a very bad scene is incredible, because honestly if I were a student I would have knocked somebody out!!!! I know that isn't the PC thing to say, and its not the right thing to do, but it would have been well deserved! Lets keep in mind you beat a 3-6 team that was starting their 3rd string quarterback. So like I said, I hope Fort D wins this game by 60, and lets see how the Mighty Swamp Foxes react this week!

AR will not be rushing the field after the game this Friday. AR was up 3 points with 5 minutes to go against a bad Summerville team. FD was up 35-7 at the half over Summerville and the game was practically over. I see FD winning by 20 - 30.

Usually I would root for the Taliban before fort d.
After that bullskit ar did .I actually will be rooting for fort d.if I'm off I will be there.you know I was going to root for Ashley ridge before that crap.
If Ashley ridges principal doesn't punish the student body
For this it will only escilate.

Agreed! Plus I don't think the AR students are letting it go. They continue to repost pictures of their nonsense and antagonize people. This thing is only going to get uglier and uglier! At some point the Summerville kids are going to get enough of it and retaliate. I assure you if they try that with the Fort D kids they will not fare so well!

Completely agree MrFootBall4Life. There will be an all out brawl if they pull that same stunt at Fort D. Really proud of our students and players for not retaliating when they stormed the field throwing things at the student section. I do not ever recall such a reaction to a win at Summerville. You would have thought they had not won a game all year.

When we beat you guys my senior year (2001/02) we rushed the field. We were "encouraged" to tear the goal posts down like we did the year before when we beat you for the first time at Fort. It got out and there were guards and guard dogs stationed at the goal posts once it was known we were going to win. So we just went into the middle and tried to pick up the grass around the S but realized it was too much work so we just danced on it...lol. Granted you guys had a bit of a down year that year as well but considering how bad we had been beaten by you for years it was a shock to beat you back to back....lol
I never thought I'd see or hear Summerville fans rooting for Fort or even vice versa but hopefully we can get some revenge for you guys. I'm surprised Summerville didn't retaliate but I'm sure Fort will.

Dude you should try to watch one of your kids play for fort while your a diehard ville fan.you want your kid to do great but their team to lose that game.but then you want them to win it.I just sat in neutral territory.

I heard them talking about all of that on the radio broadcast last week and was kind of shocked to hear they were acting like that after winning. I remember last year when we played at Summerville the PA announcer made it clear towards the end of the game that we were not to get on the field after the game and officers were kind of roaming near the student section to make sure that didn't happen...did AR just ignore this or did Summerville not put the message out this time?
The Fort fans run out onto the field after every home win (but typically just to meet with the team and don't go past the 50) and to me that's sort of in poor taste, and it takes away from the specialness of actually rushing the field after winning a big game when you run out onto the field every single time ... but should Fort win and they do rush the field as they usually do I wonder how the AR kids will respond to that? lol.
Should be a fun game either way...two undefeated teams who are also rivals battling it out with so much on the line doesn't happen very often so I'm just looking forward to taking it all in.

Good luck DFACTOR but luck will not be needed for the Patriots to pick up the win. Have fun!
