Now it's game on, is your team ready?

Post by Red Head »

Please, please, please football playoff Gods, let Fort Dorchester validate to the rest of the state that we belong in Columbia by playing every upstate and mid-state powerhouse team to get there. South Carolina, we want your best!!!

Want to switch seeds? Sumter is going to have to go through Byrnes, Dutch Fork, and possibly Gaffney just to get to the state championship.

Only way to validate being in Columbia is to perform in Columbia. Just take one game at a time, it's been a while since FD has been in Columbia.

They don't have to..... That is one likely scenario but others are at least possible.

Going through Byrnes is almost a definite if both can win in week 1.

Fort is playing with alot of confidence right now. Many teams in the upstate do not respect us nor football below columbia. We have the team that can play for state, the way they are playing as of late. I was afraid that the bye week that fort would come out, flat. That was not the case at all. These guys are hungry. The way We lost to hillcrest last year, really hurt, and the players havent forgotten that, and got a taste on what is needed to get over the hump. We've been to the semi finals twice in AAAA, once in 03 (lost to sumter, and last season's loss to Hillcrest). I believe 3rd time is the charm. One game at a time though. Its time to Turn it up a notch. I'm aware some summerville fans going to find ways to rain on our parade saying the lowcountry is down and we're benefiting from that, but a hater will always hate

Take the team names away .same coaches give or take .
Same area give or take .talent is as good .we just haven't faired well against the upstate.like I have said before until we get feeder programs that are boundary specific we will be behind.no matter what school it may be.it has to be a factory effect .

I can shine some light on this mystery. It hard to have feeder programs here due to the fact the schools share the same middle schools. I believe in the upstate its not that way. So the upstate has an upper hand in the development due to the schools there not having to share the middle schools. So feeder programs should be relatively easy to have

The district already has addresses .Pepperhill only had 41 or so kids a lot are going to sertoma.have sertoma district 1 for ar .area .sertoma d2 for ville area .d3 for fort area.
It could be done with some effort.

Fort D might be my surrogate team to root for in 4a D1 this year.... I like feel good stories.. and of course my "Anyone But Byrnes" school of thought.. Fairness is good in football sometimes, Lowerstate needs another champion, the drought has been long in the largest division in SC.... Plus that would make it 3 straight years of Brand new, First time champions, Gaffney being the last "traditional power" to win it... I can dig that! :D :D :D Go Fort D ... in a round about way, that would keep our bragging rights in tact with the Rebs, Cavs, and the Green Wave... I'm a sick minded individual... Gooooooo Patriots!!! That's your mascot right? Just making sure, getting my facts together, I don't know much more about you guys than Dunlap, who I didn't like and Quin who has an amazing story... I thought that kid was done for now he's dominating in the NFL.. that's crazy right there! Oh... and you guys have pretty much taken all of that Stratford shine and their players.. Gaffney used to hate Stratford.. it all falls in line for me!
