Congrats to DF on the win and moving on in the playoffs to face Dorman in the next round. DF kept it's composure in the 4th quarter when Summerville came from 16 points down to tie the ball game at 37. On the ensuing kickoff DF returned it for a TD and they would never give up the lead again. Summerville's offense moved the ball well but our defense simply gave up too many big plays for us to pull off the upset. Best of luck to our graduating seniors as they move on to wherever life may take them. It will be interesting to see what happens with our coaching situation following one of our worst seasons in decades. With the amount of graduating seniors on this year's squad, next year will be very challenging for whatever staff we have in place.

With a little bit of coaching these kids could have easily been moving on to the next round.
We had the player's to win tonight but the Dutch fork coaching was far superior and won out in the end.

Hats off to Dutch Fork. They played a good game and made big plays to send us home tonight. As far as The Wave goes, I thought they played a heck of a game! The boys played hard the entire game and gave Dutch Fork ALL they wanted! The bottom line is if you score 37 points in a playoff game you should win. The defense, tho I think played hard, was our downfall. As far as coaching goes, everyone knows I have been critical of the coaching this season. I was critical of the O.C., I was critical of Coach Call not getting rid of the OC fast enough, and I have been critical of the lack of adjustments by or defensive coaches. I have to say tonight that I have no problem with the coaching tonight. We took a #16 seed with a wide receiver playing QB on the road and almost upset the #1 seed! I think that says alot about the coaches. The kick off return we gave up was a horrible play, but if the kids stay in their lanes it doesn't happen. I have watched this team all season, and even during the summer some, and we just weren't a talented team this season. We have one kid (#24 Felder) that is going to be playing football at the next level next season! Next year's team has one (#13 Burnette) that will play at the next level. We do not have the stable of players we have had in the past. That doesn't mean we can't compete and play better than we have this season, but it means we have to bring our A game every night. I am not sure Coach Call doesn't deserve another year to see what he can accomplish. He has to revamp the defensive staff and he had to implement a better off season program. Getting beat in the off season is a big part of why we get beat on Friday nights. So while I think the staff can make major improvements, I think the head coach position should stay in place for another season!
