The panthers take the Cowboys to the woodshed and then set the woodshed on fire. Dorman dismantles Dutch Fork in both halves on both sides of the ball. And the Gators get classic last second, nail biting victory against a very dangerous Hillcrest team.

Dorman scores 106 points in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Looking forward to next Friday! The Byrnes defense will be a beast! Best we've seen all year. Our defense is playing better though. Maybe we can frustrate the Byrnes offense and hope the Dorman offense plays a stellar game.

I know Byrnes fans wanted Dorman to win last night, and for good reason. Dutch fork has had their number the last two years, they wanted to stay home, and they pretty much have owned Dorman since 2010. Too early to say "be careful what you wish for", but I really think Byrnes would have drug Dutch Fork also.

Hats off to the Silver Foxes. They played as if it was zero-zero all night. Stayed focused, didn't panic, didn't lose their composure at all. And the Fox fans were faithful and supportive all night. Very classy show they put on last night!

I was shocked by the lack of support that Dutch Fork had Friday night. There could not have been more than 500 fans there from DF. Dorman crowd was probably 2 to the 3 times larger.

We got to the stadium at 7:10 and parked on the 2nd row from the stadium. I knew then that DF was not going to have a crowd.

Even the PA announcer invited Dorman fans over to the home side for refreshment at half time since the lines were long on the visitors side and no one was on the home side.

The biggest cheer of the night was for the DF cheerleaders when they announced the results from State last week.

And for that special someone (you know who you are) ......................Dynasties draw more than 500 for home playoff games.

Agreed. Very surprising about how few Dutch Fork fans showed up. I wonder what was up. I've always seen more fans at that stadium than there was Friday night.

And Chapin had 9000 in the house only 5 miles up the road
Maybe DF fans have gotten spoiled.....hope they did not spend all their $$$ pre purchasing state championship tickets.

Never been to Dutch Fork's home stadium, so I can't speak to the size of their home crowd
but I did notice at the State Championship games a few years ago that Dutch Fork didn't have a large number of fans.

The 3A state title game was right after the 4A Division I title game that year and Hartsville sat on the same side.

Hartsville (a 3A team) had 3 to 4 times more people than Dutch Fork (a Big 16 school).
This initially shocked me until I actually thought about it.....

Dutch Fork has only existed since 1992. So there aren't that many alumni, no alumni over the age of 42.
So not that many Dad's are taking their families to see their old alma mater play for the State Title.
The older folks in their community would likely have more of a connection with Irmo.

Hartsville on the other hand was once a 4A school that has been around many more years. Hartsville has more of an old school feeling; a town that shuts down when the team plays. (especially for a State Title)
