So the real questions becomes where does Jake land for his senior season. Dutch Fork or Lexington or somewhere else.

And maybe more importantly does Jake Bentley (who could be the #1 QB in the country for the class of 2017) become the QB that the Gamecocks are in desperate need of.

How broad and dark will Daddy's shadow be over the football program ASSUMING Jake winds up at Byrnes?

I don't see anyway he would end up at Byrnes (way too far to commute) plus he doesn't need to play at Byrnes, he is already a top 5 QB recruit. It will be Dutch Fork or Lexington, mark it down.

Yes...using a cliche....to be honest, I would be shocked and disappointed if he wound up at Byrnes as Daddy's shadow would be an unnecessary distraction on the program.
If Daddy is going to work in Cola, they should live in the Cola area. I agree that DF or Lexington would be the most likely places for Jake to land. I would "assume" the first criteria for a school zone will be the quality of the football program and NOT the quality of the education.
Still, next year will be mighty interesting in the 5A / 4A format.

I would add River Bluff to the short list.

Let the bidding begin....
Dutch Fork - Knotts? I don't know if the bad blood between the two would keep this from happening or not.... I do know that Bobby would have to mention the Knotts' comments about dodging him when they talk.
Lexington - Playing Saturday in Columbia so Bobby could get a first hand look at the team....
Anyone else down there in the mix? Any wide open offensive teams with some good WR's? I would say the first thing they look at would be where the top WR's play in the midlands and what coach's run the best passing attacks!

I still say there is a least a possibility that he plays at Byrnes next season.
There are a lot of Bentley family members here that Jake could stay with.
He already knows the offense and like always, plenty of top receivers
Wishful thinking!!
