In 3A, Georgetown's appeal was successful and they were moved from region 7 to 6, which is a good thing for region 8. There is now an adjacent region with 5 members to trade games with during region play.

I wonder how they will handle WOC next year? All 5 classes should finish on the same weekend.

They have had all 5 games at the same stadium (Started somewhere in the 90's and continued until 1A got split in 2006).
Good news and Bad news
Unfortunately, that meant
Friday Night: 4A-D2 (I usually didn't attend this game)
Saturday: 1A, 4A D1, 2A, and 3A (some years 2A would play first but 3A was normally the last game)
Games times on Saturday were usually 11am, 2pm, 5pm, and 8pm.

I'm hoping that they will have 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A on Saturday in the same stadium (WB or DV).
But they will probably have the 4A game on Friday Night.

They should play the 1A and/or 2A game at Benedict College or River Bluff on Friday night.
Rotate the 2A and 1A game between Friday and Saturday.
(Daniel, Liberty, or Easley could host in years that the other games were in Death Valley)

I was told that the 1A and 2A would be at Benedict on Friday Night and the 3A , 4A and 5A at Williams Brice on Saturday.

The reason for this is the rent and cost associated with opening WB on Friday night and holding games over 2 days. USC charges I think $60K for the rent on the stadium for the 3 Saturday games. I am not sure what they would charge to add a Friday night.

I know May River will start taking kids from Bluffton, but I'm guessing very few rising Juniors and Seniors will jump over to the new school. I think y'all will be a big fish swimming in a little 3A pond next year. 2017 may be the year of the Bobcat.

...and with fixed brackets, everybody will be eating cupcakes.
