Both teams accomplished the goal of reaching the state championship game. There could only be one "winner" on the scoreboard, but both teams were winners. Some say there is no such thing as a moral victory, but there were a lot of schools that would had traded places with either team...as in just to have the opportunity to play for a state championship.

Congrats to The Fort for winning the game and kudos to Dorman for overachieving and making the game when most people did not think you had a chance to make it.

Thanks trojangrad. Dorman found out how good and athletic fort really is. Fort was faster than they think and hard hitting. Also super sophomore daekereon joyner put on a show.

Yep, to be honest I saw our team probably making another 2nd round exit this year after losing to the three best teams on our schedule and beating the ones we should have beat. To roll over Dutch fork and then take down the Rebs in a great tug of war at Nixon field in the 3rd round was a treat. Happiness is measured in heights not widths! We had two awesome Friday's in a row at the end of the year. Not gonna let the last week get me down. I had a lot of fun this year and enjoyed the fellowship!
