Can Dillon continue the streak in the 'new 3A' ?

Dillon is #100 in the 2015 135-ADM, that would have made them one of the smallest schools in 3A in the old system. In the new 5-class system they will be #16 of the 42 schools in the 'new' class 3A. They dodged a bullet, they won't have to compete against the likes of South Pointe, Hartesville and Myrtle Beach, but they will have to face some larger schools both in their region and in the playoffs.

They will be in region 3A-6 and will face two new, larger challengers for the region title: Lake City and Georgetown.

In the playoffs they could meet up with: Hanahan, BC, Bluffton, Emerald, Seneca,...

Will Dillon repeat in 2016?

I think it will be very interesting to see different schools such as Dillon square off against each other in the newly formed sytem.
Lots of extra travel for some teams....but the games should be entertaining.

One big difference Dillon will face in the 3A class, besides better Coaches, is schools with more students, which means more players on their teams that are more high-caliber players. But this is not the only big difference, with more players you have more relief, so your players don't get tired and worn down by the second half of the game, A good Coach will rotate players through out the game, and most 1A and 2A schools barely have enough players to make up a team, and if you have any injuries, it makes it even worst, a lot of 1A and 2A teams have players that have to play duel positions, offense and defense, and by the second half of the game they are worn down, as you move up in the 3A, 4A ,5A ranks this is one of the big adjustments you will face.

We have already played in championship games in both 3a and 4a so we know what to expect. Now executing at this level is another story.I don't expect much of a big challenge until the playoffs though!

Yes Dillon does have a easy division 6 conference to get through, except for maybe Georgetown, so they need to schedule some non-conference games against some harder teams to get them ready for the playoffs, otherwise they might get overwhelmed by teams like Seneca, Chapman,etc..., I even see Chester being a major player in the 3A Class this year, with their quarterback who already has a offer from Duke.

Lets just be honest with ourselves here! This program went toe to toe with Mallard Creek . They will return 4 to 5 college prospects. Most 3A powerhouse teams will get bumped up ... Dillon could hold their on in 5A and could win 4A .

If you go back the last 12 years, on Max-preps, and look at Dillon's record, they should have had 12 state championship titles , but they have had 6 out of 12, all of the 6 that they lost, came down to the last game of the playoffs, for the state title, and they couldn't pull out a win, 4 where 4 years in a row, 2004,2005,2006,2007,then 2010,2011 but now they have won 4 in a row. I am glad that they finally got over that hump, awesome record anyway nonetheless, lets see if they can keep it going.
