Longtime assistant coach David Pierce to lead Northwestern football
Pierce came to Northwestern with Jimmy Wallace in 1987
Pierce has previously coached the Trojans’ linebackers and both the offensive and defensive lines
He replaces Kyle Richardson, but inherits a loaded defending state championship team
