Region 1- Teams in Region 1 are sorted by Doodle's Power Ratings. T.L. Hanna 242.1, Westside 223.6, Woodmont 192.3, Easley 188.1 and
J.L. Mann 166.7. Remaining regions are my picks. Still looks to be a showdown brewing between T.L. Hanna and Westside in Week 10. Easley vs. Woodmont winner could take 3rd place.

Region 2- Hillcrest took control of this region with the win over Greenwood. Seemingly only Mauldin has a realistic chance of derailing the Rams hopes of a region title.

Region 3- Dorman's win over Spartanburg has them eyeing the region 3 title. Byrnes vs.Gaffney winner will still have a chance to win the region. Boiling Springs needs a win over Spartanburg to get back into playoff contention. Spartanburg needs the win or their playoff hopes could be in jeopardy.

Region 4- Rock Hill's win over Fort Mill this past Friday has put them into contention to be region champs. A Rock Hill win over Clover this week and a Northwestern win over Nation Ford would setup a HUGE City Rivalry game in Week 10 at District Three Stadium.

Region 5- Game of the Year in Region 5, Dutch Fork vs. Spring Valley is finally here! Irmo vs. River Bluff and White Knoll vs. Blythewood are very important games to establish the playoff contenders in this region.

Region 6- Sumter @ Conway is the most anticipated matchup in region 6 this year. This is likely the battle for the region title. The winner will put itself in a great position to wrap it up in Week 10. Carolina Forest vs. West Florence is an important game as far as playoff seeding is concerned. The winner could finish 3rd place or better in Region. South Florence vs. Socastee winner may keep its playoff hopes alive.

Region 7- Wins by Fort Dorchester and Summerville this week will setup a week 10 match-up for the Region 7 title. Ashley Ridge vs. Wando could go a long to determine 3rd place in this region.

Other than being on the road, Byrnes could still handle that road to get to Spartanburg at least. Of course, without some improvements on the offense, we could be done in week one.... and I'm not convinced that we are in yet. We can't seem to move the ball consistently enough to make me feel completely confident. We have been wiped out at WR with injuries and I don't know if we can get healthy and stay healthy at WR. Our defense has played great and kept us alive at times. If we get to 100% on offense, we could make a rematch with the Vikings a possibility. The first game was a classic and I'd love to have another shot at them....

I see some good match up potentials in the brackets and it looks like we are in for some fun come playoff time!!! If your projection holds true, T L Hanna would face a tough road to Columbia that's for certain. They could play Gaffney, Greenwood, Dorman and Spartanburg/Byrnes in a span of 22 days {all at home, but still....WOW}

Even with our injuries, we should win out.

That being said, the Rock Hill vs Northwestern rivalry game is generally closer than most expect.

I still expect a region championship and it is a 51/49 chance of a first round victory. I think the home field advantage may be the deciding difference. Baring something totally unexpected, we will be done in round 2.

The kids are putting it on the line for the current coaching staff!!!

They had a close game in 2014.
Game was tied 20-20 headed to the 4th quarter.
I recall being shocked when I saw the score that night.
Northwestern then scored the game's final 9 points to win 29-20.

This year, I think it depends on how well the Northwestern offense is playing.
Northwestern has scored 37 and 48 in its last 2 games.
If NW continues to score in the upper 30's or more, they should be in good shape headed into the Rock Hill game.
Rock Hill would likely need to play Northwestern a game in the 20's or less to have a chance to win.

Ok guys let’s say Gaffney wins Friday night and the rest of the pack loses what chance does Gaffney have of winning the region

I don't believe that Gaffney has the possibility of winning the region.
The best that Gaffney can finish is 2nd.

Dorman can finish no worse than 3-1.
Gaffney by winning the next two games against Byrnes and Spartanburg would be giving both of those teams a 2nd loss in region play.
That would leave the Indians tied with Dorman at 3-1. Then you lose the Head to Head tiebreaker.

If Gaffney beats Byrnes, it guarantees that Dorman is Region Champs.

You probably need to win both of your remaining games to get a home playoff game.
2nd place in Region 3 gets a HOME playoff game, 3rd and 4th play on the road.

*If you did go 1-1 in your remaining 2 games. (Which would make you 2-2 in region)
You would need a specific combination to fall in your favor to finish 2nd in Region.

*If Gaffney beats Byrnes and then loses to Spartanburg, Spartanburg would have to lose to Boiling Springs, and Byrnes beat Dorman
Due to tiebreaker.....Spartanburg would be 2nd because of head to head over Gaffney and Byrnes........
.......Gaffney 3rd...........Byrnes 4th.......that didn't work.... :(

Try this again....
*If Gaffney loses to Byrnes and then beats Spartanburg, Dorman beats Byrnes, Spartanburg beats Boiling Springs
Gaffney would be tied with Byrnes and Spartanburg for 2nd place...then the
point differential of the 3rd quarter scores would have to fall in the Indians favor to finish 2nd.
Sptbg is currently +7
Byrnes is currently -7
Gaffney is currently 0 because you haven't played Sptbg or Byrnes yet.

*NOTE if Spartanburg had lost to Boiling Springs, Byrnes would be 2nd due to head to head over Gaffney.

That is the only way that i figured out.
